Project Overview:</b></h2>

Bechtel is the licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction partner on TerraPower&rsquo;s Natrium team. Selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for its Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program, Natrium is participating in a DOE initiative to re-establish U.S. leadership in nuclear energy that provides matching funding to industry to design and build an operational advanced reactor. TerraPower, a leading advanced generation technology company founded by former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates, will be deploying its 345 MWe sodium fast reactor (SFR), called Natrium. The Natrium plant features an advanced, cost-competitive reactor design that is safer, simpler, easier, less costly to construct, less expensive to operate, and able to provide energy that is competitive with fossil fuels. It also features an innovative molten salt energy storage system designed to be complementary to solar and wind power by evening out the peaks and valleys in production when the sun is not shining, or the wind is not blowing. With the reactor and energy storage output combined, the plant can produce more than 500 MWe of power.</p></div></div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Job Summary:</b></h2>

Assigned to the Construction organization as Project Field Superintendent responsible for supervising and directing Site Supervision, and other support organizations (Safety, Project Controls, etc.) to support Area work execution. Ensures assigned construction personnel are tasked to appropriate work scopes and that construction operations are performed safely, in compliance with specifications and within budget and schedules. Coordinates with Area Managers, Project Field Engineer, and other Functional Leads to ensure field issues are resolved. Major Responsibilities:</b></h2>
</div><div><ul><li>Responsible for all field construction shift operations within the project.</li>
<li>Safely directs assigned construction work in accordance with Bechtel&rsquo;s Environmental Safety and Health (ES&amp;H) program.</li>
<li>Manages work schedules within relations to the Natrium overall execution plan and schedule.</li>
<li>Works with Site Supervision, Field Engineering, and Project Controls to manage project schedules, construction methods and procedures.</li>
<li>Manages the planning schedules (three-week look ahead, 90/180-day, Plan of the Day, etc.)</li>
<li>Responsible for the implementation of corporate/ project policies, procedures and instructions within assigned operations.</li>
<li>Coordinates activities with other disciplines or areas, and clients' resident representatives as instructed by construction management.</li>
<li>Plans and coordinates the Distributable group to support project setup, equipment, cranes, and material deliveries.</li>
<li>Supports the deployment and implementation of the project Construction Automation plan.</li>
<li>Effectively communicates with internal and external customers related to Natrium Construction activities. Monitor job site work rule compliance.</li>
<li>Ensures that all Bechtel (NWPP, SWPP), State, and Federal safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied within assigned area of responsibility.</li>
<li>Understanding and experience working under an Earn Management System (EMS) program in a project.</li>

<li>The candidate should have a good working knowledge of current design codes and standards such as ACI, AISC, ASME, as well as NQA-1 requirements.</li>

   Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring all activities comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.

   Supervise subcontractors, trades, and construction crews; monitor productivity and resolve field issues as they arise.

   Conduct daily site walkthroughs and safety audits; enforce compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
  </li>

   Coordinate just-in-time delivery of equipment and materials to support Lean site logistics and minimize inventory waste.

   Develop and maintain short-term and weekly lookahead schedules aligned with the master project schedule.

   Coordinate closely with the Project Manager and Scheduler to track progress, forecast impacts, and adjust sequencing.

   Lead daily stand-up meetings and weekly work planning sessions using the Last Planner System.
  </li>

   Identify and mitigate potential schedule conflicts or scope gaps proactively.

   Apply Lean Construction principles to enhance workflow reliability, eliminate waste, and drive continuous improvement.

   Facilitate pull planning sessions with subcontractors to improve coordination and productivity.
  </li>

   Monitor metrics such as PPC (Percent Plan Complete), constraints, and reasons for plan failures to improve accountability and learning.
  </li>

   Promote a collaborative jobsite culture focused on respect, transparency, and performance.

  Quality Assurance &amp; Document Control

   Interpret and implement design specifications and construction drawings with a high degree of accuracy.

   Conduct regular field inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and complies with approved plans and submittals.

   Collaborate with quality control personnel to resolve field discrepancies or non-conformance issues.
  </li>

   Support punch list management and project closeout procedures.

   Act as the primary on-site liaison with the General Contractor (GC) site superintendent. Attend all GC meetings and provide daily reports, updates, incident reporting and schedule management.

   Act as the primary on-site liaison between field operations, project management, design professionals, and clients.
  </li>
  <li>
   Maintain comprehensive daily field reports, including labor, materials, inspections, and incidents.
  </li>
  <li>
   Provide real-time updates to the project team on schedule progress, material needs, and site issues.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ensure that RFIs, submittals, and change orders are communicated and resolved effectively.

  Qualifications
  <br/>
  <br/>
 </strong>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Minimum of 7 years of experience supervising commercial, institutional, or industrial construction projects.
  </li>
  <li>
   Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP construction drawings and shop drawings.
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience with cold-formed steel (CFS) construction methods and installation is preferred.
  </li>
  <li>
   Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong knowledge of Lean Construction methodologies, including the Last Planner System, visual displays and pull planning.
  </li>
  <li>
   OSHA 30-hour certification (preferred).
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.

   Lean Six Sigma or Lean Construction certification (LCI or equivalent).
  </li>

   Trade background or technical training in structural framing, particularly in CFS systems.
  </li>
  <li>
   Familiarity with prefabrication or panelized construction workflows is a plus.
  </li>
  <li>
   Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.

   Full-time, on-site position. Project sites would be in various states primarily in Southern United States.
  </li>

   Physical presence on active construction sites, with walking, climbing, and lifting as required.
