Job Overview</b></p><p></p><p><br>
The Finance Business Partner (FBP) serves as the Institute&rsquo;s lead operational finance professional, responsible for the oversight, integrity, and day‑to‑day management of all accounting and finance functions. This role oversees the full scope of the Institute&rsquo;s financial operations, including accounting, general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, grants and restricted fund accounting, and compliance with nonprofit and regulatory requirements. Working closely with Institute leadership, the Finance Business Partner ensures accurate and timely financial information, sound fiscal stewardship, and effective financial processes that support the Institute&rsquo;s mission and operational objectives. Responsibilities</b>:</p><ul><li>
Partner with the Institute staff to support strategic initiatives, financial decisions, and operational plans</li><li>

RESPONSIBILITIES</b></div><ul><li>
Serve as a primary financial partner to Project Directors, Project Managers, and field leaders, participating in key planning, risk, and execution meetings.</li><li>
Acts as a trusted advisor to Operations and Finance leadership&mdash;combining strong business judgment with financial rigor</li><li>
Proactively identify and communicate financial risks, opportunities, trends, and root causes (productivity, scope growth, rework, commercial disputes, etc.).</li><li>
Coordinate the business unit(s) profit forecasting process, assist with business unit and regional financial statements, budgets, volume and gross profit forecasts and other financial analysis and forecasts.</li><li>
Lead FP&amp;A process related to the business unit(s) resulting from profit forecasts and monthly cost updates</li><li>
Work directly with business unit(s) leader, VP Ops and directors to assist in annual operating plan development and financial analysis including historical data analysis and ongoing scenario planning</li><li>
Assist business unit(s) in proactively monitoring project financial performance including project audits, financial analysis, project set-up and margin plan development/tracking. Also including project level support for project cost and financial issues</li><li>
Work with regional accounting partners in monthly and year end close activities related to business unit including project cash positions, AR/AP tracking, G&amp;A analysis/tracking, project lifecycle assistance, chargeouts, etc.</li><li>
Lead and develop project accountants assigned to business unit(s) and projects</li><li>
Promote service oriented, customer friendly approach to our accounting and finance operations and facilitate timely resolution of issues and questions within the business unit(s), including project staff</li></ul><div><b>
QUALIFICATIONS</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred but not required. Experience with construction industry finances can be a substitute.</li><li>
Minimum 5&ndash;7 years of progressive experience in project accounting and/or financial analysis, preferably in construction or asset-intensive industries.</li><li>
Solid understanding of construction accounting</li><li>
Demonstrated experience in:</li><li><ul><li>
Project budgeting/forecasting and cost control</li><li>
Construction contract types (lump sum, cost-plus, GMP, joint ventures)</li><li>
Owner and subcontractor billing and change management</li></ul></li><li>
Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) and FP&amp;A platforms used for forecasting and KPI reporting. Proactive, self-motivated, organized and able to work independently</li><li>
Effective problem-solver and decision-maker</li><li>
Proficiency with ERP and project accounting systems (e.g., CMiC, Oracle or similar), and strong Excel / data analysis capabilities.</li><li>

The Finance Business Partner is responsible for leading all Finance activities for the <b>Factory‑Made Cigarettes (FMC)</b> category. This role plays a critical part in supporting commercial performance by partnering closely with Sales &amp; Marketing senior leaders and cross‑functional teams. Key responsibilities include owning financial planning and analysis for FMC P&amp;Ls, CAPEX, and Net Working Capital, and driving continuous process improvements that enhance profitability and capture revenue opportunities.</p><div><br>
