<p><b>Job Purpose</b></p><p>The Bookkeeper supports the organization&rsquo;s day-to-day financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records, performing account reconciliations, posting payments, and supporting billing processes.</p><p><b>Essential Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Accounting / Bookkeeping</b></p><p>- Maintain accurate financial records</p><p>- Prepare and enter journal entries</p><p>- Perform reconciliations and cash management</p><p>- Assist with financial close and reporting</p><p><b>Billing Support</b></p><p>- Post payments within Valant</p><p>- Review and reconcile patient accounts</p><p>- Assist with patient statements</p><p><b>Payroll / Administrative Support</b></p><p>- Provide backup payroll support</p><p>- Assist with administrative tasks</p><p><b>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</b></p><p>- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles</p><p>- Strong attention to detail</p><p>- Excel proficiency</p><p>- Valant experience preferred</p><p>- Knowledge of QuickBooks online preferred.</p><p>- Knowledge of billing practice or willingness to learn.</p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></p><p>- Associate degree required</p><p>- 5+ years&rsquo; experience preferred</p><p>- Must pass BRC</p><p><b>Physical Requirements</b></p><p>- Prolonged sitting and computer work</p><p>- Lift up to 15 pounds</p><p><b>Direct Reports</b></p><p>None</p><p>Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul><p>Education:</p><ul><li>Associate (Preferred)</li></ul><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>Bookkeeping: 5 years (Preferred)</li><li>Microsoft Excel: 5 years (Preferred)</li><li>QuickBooks online: 2 years (Preferred)</li></ul><p>Work Location: Hybrid remote in West Springfield, MA 01089</p>
