Job Summary:</b></p>
<p>
The Associate Wealth Advisor focuses on deepening relationships with an established base of clients and organically growing their practice through referrals, while leveraging our unified in-house team of experts to help clients achieve their financial goals. The role supports a Senior Wealth Advisor and an existing book of business and is designed to be developmental for the Associate while providing leverage to the Senior Wealth Advisor.</p>

Unlike other firms, Mercer has a dedicated Sales team so that our advisors can focus exclusively on their clients. Our advisors are client-focused fiduciaries who take pride in utilizing their advanced knowledge of financial planning and investments and their superior relationship skills to diagnose the needs of clients and propose solutions that fit each client's unique scenario. They're supported by a sophisticated technology platform and a team of experts in portfolio management, financial planning, tax, estate planning, and more.</p><p><br>
<b>
Key Responsibilities and Duties</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Anticipates the Senior Advisor's needs, manages pre- and post-meeting deliverables, and helps to prioritize workflow to maximize the Senior Advisor's capacity for client growth.</li>
<li>Prepares for, participates in, and follows up after client meetings to ensure a seamless, high-touch client experience.</li>
<li>Participates in the development of financial solutions to clients, utilizing interpersonal communication and relationship building skills to gather information and share results with clients as needed.</li>
<li>Understands and deploys Mercer's broad set of solutions including tax, estate planning, insurance, and more to provide a comprehensive offering to our clients.</li>
<li>Actively builds technical, relational, and advisor capabilities with the expectation of increased client ownership (in coordination with the Senior Wealth Advisor) and responsibility over time.</li>
<li>Ensures adherence to compliance and regulatory policies as well as company standards of client care</li>
<li>Acts as a fiduciary, placing client interests and outcomes first</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</b></p>
<p>
Education:</p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferably Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance related); Master's degree a plus</li>
</ul>
<p>Experience:</p>
<ul>
<li>At least 5 years of job-related experience (Independent Advisor, Registered Representative, Securities Portfolio Manager, Financial Planner, Certified Public Accountant)</li>
</ul>
<p>Certifications/Licenses:</p>
<ul>
<li>Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required. In lieu of the CFP, the following certifications may be acceptable: Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Investment Consultant (CIC).</li>
<li>Series 65 required, unless any of the above designations qualify for an exemption in the applicable state(s)</li>
</ul>
<p>Skills &amp; Competencies:</p>
<ul>
<li>Advanced knowledge of the industry, financial products, and financial planning concepts</li>
<li>Superior communication skills, with the ability to effectively present investment, finance, and tax planning solutions to clients</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of the economic landscape/general understanding of impact on the Firm and clients</li>
<li>Experience utilizing financial planning software</li>
<li>Expert at collaboration and willing to help others</li>
<li>Sales aptitude and experience is preferred</li>
<li>An entrepreneurial spirit and growth-mindset, with a positive attitude that contributes to a positive work environment</li>
</ul><ul><li>Strong core understanding of our investments and ISG, along with the ability to perform asset allocation and analysis for portfolio reviews</li>
<li>Comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements</li>
<li>Ability to travel up to 20% as required for client meetings, company training, etc.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Location: </b>This is a Hybrid position with a strong preference for candidates to be located in Seattle, WA or Scottsdale, AZ.</p>
<p><b>
Work Schedule:</b> Business hours Monday through Friday. Will occasionally be expected to adjust work schedule to mirror that of the Senior Wealth Advisor to effectively serve client's needs.</p>
<p><b>
Working Conditions: </b>Hybrid schedule with a combination of remote and office work in a professional office environment. Working inside. Standing and sitting.</p><div><p><b>
