The Patient Accounts Financial Representative is responsible for screening patients for payment resources and counseling patients on their personal financial responsibilities and making them aware of resources that may be available to assist them. They will give assistance in the application of those resources. The Patient Accounts Financial Representative will also be responsible for answering patient calls, walk-ins, and correspondence related to patient billing, while using proper customer service protocol. Summary</h2>
As a first point of access for Lee Health customers this position completes and assists with registration, insurance verification, authorization, price estimation, denial prevention, claims processing, and financial screening to secure maximum reimbursement for the Health System. This position is also responsible for confirming patient identity and uses Epic and on-line resources to ensure Medicare medical necessity and billing requirements have been met. The Personal Financial Services Representative (PFR) is an entry level position, which assists members by establishing new member relationships, opening consumer deposit accounts, account maintenance, taking credit applications, reviewing credit reports, working through loan documentation, closing loans, and serving as a Notary Public. Additionally, the PFR can fluidly transition between tasks assisting members, and supporting the branch as an MSA and Sr. MSA.
