<div>The Allen County Public Library is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll &amp; Accounting Specialist to support our Financial Services team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate payroll processing, financial reporting, and compliance with applicable regulations, while supporting the overall financial health of the Library and ACPL Foundation.

What You'll Do</h3>
Payroll Administration<ul><li>
Process bi-weekly payroll using automated systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies</li><li>
Review and resolve payroll discrepancies, including pay, benefits, and timekeeping issues</li><li>
Manage garnishments, deferred compensation, and other payroll-related transactions</li><li>
Prepare and maintain payroll reports and ensure compliance with federal and state tax filings</li></ul>
Accounting &amp; Financial Support<ul><li>
Perform general ledger entries, reconciliations, and employee withholding transmittals</li><li>
Support gift fund accounting and required state reporting (e.g., Indiana Department of Workforce Development)</li><li>
Assist with grant accounting and reporting</li></ul>
Cash &amp; Treasury Management<ul><li>
Support cash handling and credit card revenue processes</li><li>
Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies between financial records and third-party processors</li><li>
Ensure internal controls are followed for all financial transactions</li></ul>
Accounts Payable<ul><li>
Manage vendor payments, including documentation review, approvals, and accurate coding</li><li>
Maintain vendor records within the general ledger system</li><li>
Process checks and reconcile vendor statements</li></ul>
Additional Responsibilities<ul><li>
Provide backup support for pension and annuity records (INPRS)</li><li>
Assist with year-end financial processes and reporting deadlines</li><li>
Coordinate records retention in compliance with state requirements</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
