The Illinois Central College, TRIO Upward Bound is a college preparatory program for college-bound high school students; grades 9th-12th. Upward Bound is seeking applicants to fill Instructor positions for our annual 6-week summer program; June 8th &ndash; 26th 2026, July 6th &ndash; 24th 2026. Selected applicants may start as soon as May 26th 2026, or as agreed upon to begin course planning and cover other administrative duties. Courses will be taught in-person at the Peoria Campus of Illinois Central College. Students take 4 courses each day between 9am - 3pm, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, Field Trips on Wednesdays, and 9am-12pm on Fridays for 6 weeks. Instructor schedules are negotiable. Course(s) approved to teach and course days &amp; times will be determined between Instructor and TRIO Upward Bound Director. These are temporary, part-time positions.

The successful candidate will teach either Illustration (Thursdays 1-3:30pm) or Painting (Mondays 1:30-4pm).
