</div><p>Under supervision of the Base Fire/Crash Rescue Supervisor and/or Base Fire Chief, the Fire Crash Rescue Specialist prevents, controls and extinguishes all types of fires on the ground and performs related rescue, first aid, and property preservation. This includes fires or potential of fires involving buildings, structures, operational processes, grounds, aircraft (including military aircraft), missiles and separate or component weapons or other materials. The Fire Crash Rescue Specialist performs operations and operator maintenance of all types of firefighting and related rescue vehicles, equipment systems and devices in support of overall base emergency contingency operations. The position is required to drive and operate various crash, rescue, structural pumper and water tender apparatus and all associated equipment and is required to wear personal protective equipment. Scheduled work week is shift type work and may include 8, 16 or 24 -hour coverage, depending on mission requirements.</p>
