What you will do<ul><li>
Install, program, configure, commission and service Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems including but not limited to; Simplex, Fike, Kidde, Inergen, Sapphire, FM-200, and CO2 as well as other related building system products at customer sites.</li></ul>

Three (3) years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging systems.</li><li>

 General Functions:
 
 
 
 This position performs highly responsible, professional, supervisory, administrative, technical, and operational work specializing in strategic public safety activities within the Office of the Fire Marshal, Fire Rescue Department.
 
 
 This position is responsible for planning, managing, coordinating, and directing the fire prevention and life safety management services and activities of the Office of the Fire Marshal. The incumbent shall apply and enforce adopted fire and life safety codes, and will direct and manage fire prevention services including: fire safety inspections, fire plan reviews of new construction, fire origin and cause investigations, fire data collection, fire code legislation development, and public safety education. Other duties may include map preparation, presenting recommendations for changes in legal provisions governing fire/life safety practices and procedures, and recommendations for changes in the policies and procedures of the Office of the Fire Marshal.
 
 
 
 Representative Duties/Assignments:
 
 
 
 Prepares or supervises the preparation of the goals and objectives of the Office of the Fire Marshal. Develops annual work program and establishes staffing and scheduling requirements.
 
 
 Prepares or supervises the preparation of monthly and annual activity reports for submission to the Fire Chief.
 
 
 Provides direct supervision of assigned personnel. Evaluates the work of reporting staff.
 
 
 Assigns, trains, and supervises the staff of the Office of the Fire Marshal in conducting fire/life safety inspection activities, plans examinations, educational programs, and the preparation and maintenance of reports and records relating to Office of the Fire Marshal activities.
 
 
 Identifies hazards, meets with builders, owners, and occupants to correct problems and appears before civic groups to inform, educate, and improve fire safety.
 
 
 Ensures that adopted fire and life safety codes are applied and enforced and code violations are corrected in a timely manner.
 
 
 Reviews new construction plans for fire code compliance and performs on-site inspections to assure compliance, annually inspects commercial structures for fire compliance. Prepares maps, fire plans, and inspections for fire safety.
 
 
 Investigates fires of suspicious or unknown origin and/or involving a fatality to determine arson probability. Interviews witnesses or suspects, obtains and preserves evidence, performs background research and provides expert testimony when required.
 
 
 Confers with architects, engineers, builders, building officials, professional associations, citizen groups and the general public to discuss matters of interest and necessity to the fire service.
 
 
 Promotes good customer service and public relations, coordinates operations and promotes partnerships with other divisions, departments, outside agencies, citizen groups and the general public.
 
 
 Coordinates projects and activities with other County departments that support Public Safety.

 Must possess and maintain State of Florida Fire Safety Inspector I Certification or a verified and approved equivalency (Fire Inspection Certification) to the State of Florida Fire Safety Inspector I Certification. <div>Forsyth County Department of Emergency Services is seeking hard working and dedicated Fire Engineers. Fire Engineers receive and respond to fire alarms, technical rescues, medical calls and emergency/accidents. The employee may drive firefighting and rescue equipment and operates such equipment at the scene of a fire or emergency call with technician level proficiency depending on the assignment within the Fire Division. This employee must execute orders of their supervisor and on scene incident command staff promptly and efficiently and may be required to assume those roles in absence of higher levels of supervision or command. This employee is also responsible for the day-to-day operations and personnel assigned to their station or unit. Independent judgment and initiative are required in fighting fires and emergency rescues. Fire Engineers will also perform yearly fire prevention inspections, as well as conduct fire origin and cause investigations. Assumes command of day to day and incident operations of a company or shift in the absence of the Fire Captain. 
 
The employee is expected to work a rotating shift that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. The employee may be called back for duty as deemed necessary by department administration. Work is performed under general supervision and by standard operating procedures and is evaluated through reports and by overall effectiveness of operations.

ASRC Federal Field Services is seeking an Assistant Chief of Operations - Fire Department, in support of our Vance AFB Base Operations Support Contract Located in Enid Oklahoma.
 
Overview: 
The role of the Assistant Fire Chief of Operations is to assist in planning, directing, and reviewing the activities and operations of the Fire Department including fire suppression, hazardous material mitigation, respond to all emergency responses and assume an appropriate role within the Air Force Incident Management System (AFIMS), emergency medical services, emergency management, safety officer responsibilities, and administrative support services.
 
Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Assist in fire prevention activities, life safety code compliance, public safety education, fire prevention hot work permit review/issue after hours. Direct, oversee and participate in the development of their respective shift; assign work activities, projects and programs; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures.</li>
<li>Directs the Lead Firefighters, Driver Operators, Firefighter and ECC operators.</li>
<li>Manage the storage and distribution of all supplies and commodities for the Department.</li>
<li>Assist in coordinating assigned activities with other Vance AFB agencies. Conducts proficiency training for operations personnel.</li>
<li>Manages fire department equipment, SCBA, and barrier maintenance programs.</li>
<li>Perform Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) responsibilities.</li>
<li>Appointment of personnel for additional duties.</li>
<li>Manage all additional duties.</li>
<li>Manage the department operations leave schedule and daily rosters.</li>
<li>Provide highly responsible and complex executive level support to the Fire Chief as a member of the Fire Chief's management team.</li>
<li>Prepare and present staff reports, correspondence, prepare a variety of technical and departmental activity reports and other necessary document.</li>
<li>Represent the Department as well as the company in a positive and professional manner.</li>
<li>Provide positive leadership and development to various Department personnel so as to foster a qualified and capable staff.</li>
<li>Administer policies and procedures as directed from the Fire Chief, Company and USAF.</li>
<li>Work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.</li>
