Wildland Fire & Resource Technician 2 - starting salary $28.07 per hourSix months of trainee or entry-level wildland fire fighting or forestry field experience. The required experience is met by service as a Wildland Fire and Resource Technician 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent with another employer.AndRed Card qualification under the National Incident Qualification System (see required job qualifications special note).Wildland Fire & Resource Technician 3- starting salary $31.72 per hourTwelve months of wildland fire fighting or forestry field experience, of which at least six months was at the developmental level. Job Overview</b></h2>

Performs skilled work in fire prevention, saving and protection of life and property in fighting fires and other emergencies, provides emergency care to victims of fires and other accidents, inspects and tests associated fire protection equipment and facilities, and performs minor maintenance to such equipment and facilities, performs inspections for combustible storage and ignition source permits, and works as directed by the Control Room when assigned to shift coverage.</p>

<li>Participates in fire and emergency medical training and drills</li>
<li>Performs equipment surveillance tests on fire protection systems, components and equipment</li>
<li>Performs routine visual inspections of operating equipment, fire barriers and spaces and informs the Control Room of any abnormal conditions detected</li>
<li>Reviews ignition source and combustible storage permits, specifies necessary instructions and performs inspections and evaluations of the work site to ensure work is performed in accordance with Seabrook Station Fire Protection Manual requirements</li>
<li>Assists in the maintenance of fire brigade procedures, programs and strategies</li>
<li>Maintains a thorough understanding of the Station Fire Protection Program and Procedures and recommends improvements.</li>
<li>Interprets and implements procedures relative to the use, testing and maintenance of fire protection equipment</li>
<li>Keeps and maintains logs and records as requested/required</li>
<li>Performs minor routine preventative and corrective maintenance on plant fire equipment, components or systems</li>
<li>Works on a rotating shift schedule and maintains assigned station until properly relieved</li>

<div><p><b>Amentum</b> is seeking a<b> Fire Fighter Tech (PAC)</b> out of the <b>Las Vegas, NV area</b>.</p><p></p><p>
The incumbent is a newly hired member of the Fire Department and is initially assigned to a &ldquo;Personnel Awaiting Clearance&rdquo; (PAC) location. During this assignment, a variety of training programs for required certification status is pursued. Upon being granted clearance and work site access, the incumbent is assigned to a functional position within the department consistent with possessed skills and qualifications. Once assigned, the incumbent&rsquo;s primary responsibility is to accompany Fire Fighters and respond to emergencies in order to protect lives and property. Position is represented by a Union Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).</p><p></p><p><b>
Essential Responsibilities:</b></p><ul>
<li><p>
Suppress all fires including wildland fires near Range facilities and take necessary action to prevent rekindling.</p></li>
<li><p>
Exercises caution to avoid damage or loss of property including injury to self and others.</p></li>

Identifies, protects and reports evidence indicating cause of fire, especially during salvage and overhaul operations</p></li>
<li><p>
Reports unusual circumstances or injuries sustained while on duty to the Lieutenant for necessary action.</p></li>

Must be able to perform job tasks at any place on the Aerial Ladder from minimal extension to full extension.</p></li>

Must be able to navigate tight turns, stairs, and enclosed spaces while wearing firefighting personal protective equipment to include SCBA.</p></li>
