Emergency Preparedness</b><br>

<ul><li>Identify potential emergency situations and establish appropriate procedures</li></ul><br>
<ul><li>Periodically conduct emergency incident and fire drills. Support during fire drills, safety training and other such activities to increase awareness.</li></ul><br>
<ul><li>Inspect plant machinery, equipment, vehicles, etc. from safety point of view and take corrective actions or suggest modifications in order to prevent loss or damage.</li></ul><br>

Incident Investigation</b><br>

<ul><li>Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.</li></ul><br>
<ul><li>Reporting the results of incident investigations to management</li></ul><br>

HSE Documentation</b><br>

<ul><li>Maintain and update the SOPs&rsquo; for all safe work practices and equipment.</li></ul><br>
<ul><li>Maintain all the inspection, incidents and other health and safety related record.</li></ul><br>

Training &amp; Awareness</b><br>

<ul><li>Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment.</li></ul><br>

<p><b>The City of Urbana, Ohio</b> is accepting applications for the full-time position of <b>Fire Marshal</b> in the Fire Division. This position reports to the Chief of Fire and offers a starting salary of <b>$*76,421 </b>annually*, commensurate with experience.</p><p>The Fire Marshal is responsible for interpreting, updating, and enforcing the applicable fire code and other rules and regulations as referenced in The City of Urbana Charter and Codified Ordinances. Works collaboratively with the Division shifts, City Engineer&rsquo;s office, and building department to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the community. Performs all functions in a professional and customer-friendly manner. Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Coordinates with building department, engineer&rsquo;s office, and code enforcement for fire related code review and compliance and approval of occupancy permits.</li><li>Inspection for fire code compliance of existing, remodeling, and new construction. <p><b>Lead Fire Life Safety Specialist</b></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Develop, implement, and manage the project's Fire and Life Safety (FLS) program in compliance with NFPA, local civil defense, and Ashghal regulations.</li><li>Conduct FLS risk assessments, audits, and inspections of all project activities and facilities.</li><li>Review and approve FLS design drawings, submittals, and specifications from subcontractors.</li><li>Lead the FLS team, conduct fire drills, and provide training to all project personnel.</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact with Qatar Civil Defense and other regulatory bodies for FLS matters.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Education: Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related engineering field.</li><li>Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in Fire and Life Safety, with at least 8 years in a lead or senior role on large-scale construction projects in Qatar.</li><li>Skills: In-depth knowledge of international and local FLS codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, Qatar Civil Defense regulations).
