Position Summary:

We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Fitter Helper to assist in the installation and servicing of fire sprinkler systems on commercial job sites. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in the fire protection trade. The position requires physical labor, the ability to follow directions, and a willingness to work in varying site conditions including heights and confined spaces. 
Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Assist fitter and foreman with the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems including piping, valves, hangers, and related components.</li>
<li>Carry tools, pipe, and materials to and from work areas.</li>
<li>Measure, cut, and thread pipe under the direction of experienced fitters.</li>
<li>Clean and prepare job sites and equipment before and after installations.</li>
<li>Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery safely and correctly.</li>
<li>Load and unload equipment and materials from trucks.</li>
<li>Follow verbal and written instructions from the foreman or lead fitter.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all company safety guidelines.</li>
<li>Be willing and able to work at heights (ladders, lifts, scaffolding) and in tight spaces (crawl spaces, above ceilings).</li>
<li>Attend safety meetings and training sessions as required.</li></ul> 


Requirements:

Summary
Responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping and piping systems, fixtures, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems.

Role on the Team (Job Responsibilities):

This individual will design and coordinate the fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. He or she will design and create the finished representation for the sprinkler systems using drawing and drafting skills and tools. The drawings produced will be used as a guide by every other link in the chain of construction, both on-site and in the office. This person will have responsibility for the initial planning of a project including scheduling of time, creating material stock listing, analyzing changes, and solving problems.
