The Firmware Engineer will be responsible for the firmware / embedded software development of medical devices and associated equipment.
You are responsible for
<ul><li>Design and develop firmware for respiratory care medical equipment.
</li><li>Create software requirements specifications, software architecture documents, and detailed software design documents based on electrical schematics of the embedded hardware platform.
</li><li>Design and debug firmware for embedded processors, microcontrollers, digital signal processors, and other electronic components or circuits using C++ programming languages.
</li><li>Design and debug multi-threaded firmware to run on various real-time operating systems.
</li><li>Use test and measurement apparatus, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, communication protocol analyzers, and signal generators, to ensure that firmware functions per design requirements.

</li><li>Manage the transition of products from the development stage to full-scale production and ensure that products are delivered to market on time and on budget.

Primary Objective
The Firmware Engineering position is a member of the Electrical Hardware Development team at MTS Systems. The team is responsible for developing and supporting a wide range of electrical products focused on high performance motion control and precision data acquisition.
