The Department of Public Safety is seeking a Senior Budget Analyst to lead the budget development process for a large state agency. Budget development includes preparing, entering, and maintaining the annual budget request utilizing past data analysis. This position will collaborate with executive management on analysis of the agency budget by leading quarterly meetings to ensure projects are on track and being invoiced as expected, income and expenditures are accurately reflected, and discuss explanations of significant budget changes. This position will develop and maintain an analytical model for forecasting to assure financial feasibility for future projects. This model will include an extensive salary forecast and projection for over 1,000 full-time positions, taking into account vacancy savings. The vacancy savings will account for staffing changes, known wage and benefit increases, collective bargaining agreement changes, and reliable assumptions based on historical data.<br>
