Position Summary
This is a full-time position as an F-16 Simulator Instructor. Responsibilities
Instructs pilots in ground and flight procedures and techniques, prepares lesson plans. Act as a SME by applying advanced technical concepts in aviation and aid in creation of training material.
Assists in the preparation of schedules, maintenance of training records and ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student. Evaluates and monitors students' performance.
Requirements<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree with 5+ of relevant work experience.
</li><li>Current or former F-16 Instructor Pilot.</li><li>
Demonstrated 1000 hours minimum F-16 flight experience is required.</li><li>
Demonstrated 1500 hours Fighter Flight Time in forth and/or fifth generation multi-role fighter aircraft.</li><li>
Current or demonstrated experience as an USAF IP with multi-role fighter experience.</li><li>
Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form, and successfully pass a government background check.</li><li>
An active current DoD Secret clearance; the Investigation or CV date within 5 years.</li></ul>
Desired Experience/Skills<ul><li>
Former Weapon School graduate desired.</li><li>
Experience as an UPT/FTU instructor.</li><li>
F-16C Block 40 or greater desired.</li></ul>
Work Authorization<ul><li>
Must be lawfully eligible to work OCONUS and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.</li><li>

<div>Summary/ Objective
Provide flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with FAA and PEA regulations and procedures. Maintain records, and ensure that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met for each student customer in each course.
Essential Functions<ul><li>
Perform those flight instructor duties authorized by the Federal Aviation regulations in accordance with the approved Syllabi's.
</li><li>Ensure all students understand and practice all aspects of PEA's Training procedures and policies including Safety Standards.
</li><li>Regularly schedule each assigned student to ensure on time progress through the respective course and immediately inform supervisor of any delays in training or unsatisfactory progress.
</li><li>Responsible for accurately maintaining all appropriate records to include student training record and student logbook.</li><li>
Ensure that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by all assigned students as stipulated in the applicable Course Syllabus.
</li><li>Initiate stage check and End-of-Course requests for assigned students. Responsible for the timely course completion of all flight students assigned.</li><li>
Monitor the maintenance condition of the training aircraft and inform PEA maintenance personnel of any items of concern.</li></ul><ul><li>
Recommend curriculum and courseware improvements when appropriate.
</li><li>File incident reports as necessary to report any observed safety violations or situations that may affect the safety of flight.
</li><li>Attend administrative, standardization, in-service training, and instructor and project development meetings as assigned.
</li><li>Assist with special projects to include but not limited to: Changes to PEA FS manual, the associated materials and participate in work-shops including FAA meetings.
</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Competencies<ul><li>
FAA Certified Flight Instructor, Airplane Single-Engine Land, Instrument Airplane.</li><li>
Aircraft piloting skills including familiarity with and ability to perform required flight maneuvers and procedures.
</li><li>Knowledge of and ability to apply effective instructional technique in the classroom and in flight.
</li><li>Knowledge of appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations and Company Policies and Procedures.

Rochester Community and Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Aviation Instructor to teach in the Aviation Pilot program for the Fall 26' semester. This position may include instruction in ground school and other aviation-related coursework.
The Adjunct Aviation Instructor will provide instruction in Aviation Pilot program courses. Teaching assignments may include topics such as Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and CFI ground school courses, as well as Advanced Aircraft Systems or Aviation Human Factors. The successful candidate will demonstrate competency in aviation instruction and a strong commitment to student learning.
