We are currently recruiting a Storeroom Clerk (Union Extra List/On Call) to join our Purchasing team. This is a union, non-management position that reports to the Purchasing Manager.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
<ul><li>The Storeroom Clerk is part of the Purchasing Department whose function is to procure various items utilized by the hotel.
</li><li>The Storeroom Clerk checks all incoming goods (food and non-food items) against delivery invoices, food specifications and purchase records to ensure that the type and amount of items charged and ordered were received.
</li><li>The Storeroom Clerk also issues food, beverage and non-food goods to appropriate departments based on requisition orders.
</li><li>This role has direct involvement with both outside vendors and internal hotel management and excellent communication skills are essential.
</li><li>This position requires a high level of physical mobility.
</li><li>The ability to continuously stand for up to 8 hours per shift and lift up to 50lbs is required.
</li><li>Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities, and be willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote team work.

About this position

This position is responsible for overseeing all storeroom inventory and operations.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you&rsquo;ll mostly be:
<ul>
<li>Check shipment by comparing it with purchase order and/or invoice to insure what is being received is what was ordered (quantity, price, quality, state, size, count, weight tolerance and acceptable expiration date and received at the proper temperature).</li>
<li>Work in conjunction with Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef and Director of Finance to ensure appropriate handling, transport, and documentation of all food ordering and receiving between departments.</li>
<li>Work in conjunction with the Front Desk Team to ensure appropriate handling and transport of packages received for hotel departments.</li>
<li>To follow/adhere to established standard operating procedures and local health regulations.</li>
<li>Document discrepancy and notify supervisor immediately of shortage.</li>
<li>Help to set up local vendors and products and communicate items that need to be used.</li>
<li>Assists with placing orders or any other reasonable task assigned.</li>
<li>Receives orders and rotates stock when putting the orders away. All incoming products need to be rotated and dated to ensure the products are rotated properly to avoid spoilage.</li>
<li>Assist in conducting End-Of-Month Physical Inventory.</li>
