The Formulation Technician II will be responsible for operating an encapsulating machine to produce products from pre-mixed ingredients, ensuring accurate temperatures, machine settings, equipment set-ups, in-process measurements, and quality product. 
 
A Day in the Life:<ul><li>
Manufacture simple, bulk products</li><li>
Observe machine operation, adjust as needed, take samples of product, and perform in-process testing</li><li>
Assist Set-Up person to set up machine, empty basket, clean and prepare machine for changeover, and assist with the actual changeover</li><li>
Assist with cleanup and other encapsulation duties as needed</li><li>
Operate inline printing equipment</li></ul> 
Education:
 
High school diploma or equivalent required. 
 
Experience: 
Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field

How You Will Make an Impact
As a Team Leader in Formulation Manufacturing, you will lead a skilled team of manufacturing technicians dedicated to producing sterile pharmaceutical products that meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You&rsquo;ll coordinate daily operations, mentor and develop team members, and help ensure that every batch meets safety and quality expectations. Shift hours are 6am-6pm on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.
What You Will Do<ul><li>
Lead and develop a team of manufacturing operators to achieve production, safety, and quality goals.</li><li>
Plan daily work, assign resources, and supervise progress to ensure schedule adherence.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and data integrity standards through accurate documentation and process execution.</li><li>
Partner with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve process and equipment issues.</li><li>
Oversee batch record accuracy, documentation, and adherence to all cGMP, SOP, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Ensure data integrity and compliance across all operational processes.</li><li>
Support deviation investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.</li><li>
Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and continuous improvement through active engagement and example.</li><li>
Track and report key production metrics, finding opportunities for efficiency and improvement.</li><li>
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant workspace aligned with EHS and regulatory requirements.</li><li>

How You Will Get Here
Education:<ul><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li></ul>
Experience:<ul><li>
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or sterile manufacturing, four (4) years preferred.</li><li>
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.</li><li>
Hands-on experience in aseptic or sterile product formulation and using SAP or other manufacturing systems strongly preferred.</li></ul>
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

This role is integral to supporting oral solid formulation studies, working hands-on in laboratory and pilot plant settings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and travel between Summit and New Brunswick sites as needed to access specialized equipment and facilities. 
 
Key responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Executing laboratory and pilot plant work to establish oral solid formulations;</li><li>
Designing and conducting experimental formulation studies;</li><li>
Performing material characterization and formulation testing;</li><li>

Requirements

Hands-on experience performing HPLC and dissolution testing for oral formulations;</li><li>
Experience working in cGMP/FDA-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environments (internship experience acceptable);</li><li>
Ability to travel between Summit, NJ and New Brunswick, NJ sites as needed.</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
