Create high-performance FPGA solutions to support next-generation modem systems from LEO satellites. This is a unique opportunity to define and implement a state-of-the-art wireless communication system with a focus on an ultra-reliable low-latency, high-throughput physical layer (PHY). The FPGA Design Engineer will work closely with systems teams to define, develop, and release FPGA-based signal processing and modem solutions using latest generation hardware and modern design methodologies. 
 
Key job responsibilities 
In this role, you will design, implement, and support a wireless modem on a ARM/FPGA system-on-chip platform. Key responsibilities include: 
<ul><li>End-to-End RTL Development: Create and release RTL code through the full development lifecycle: system architecture definition, RTL design, physical implementation, timing closure, and simulation validation.</li><li>System Integration: Collaborate with Digital Communications and RF system architects to implement complex logic functions such as signal detection and synchronization, channel coding (LDPC/Polar), beamforming, or massive MIMO processing.</li><li>Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with HW, FW, and SW teams to bring up and test integrated systems combining FPGA, RF front-ends, and networking stacks.</li><li>Architectural Trade-offs: Drive trade-off analysis to optimize FPGA resources for cost, size, power, and performance to meet stringent 5G latency and throughput requirements.</li><li>Validation: Conduct lab-based silicon validation using high-speed signal generators and analyzers to ensure modem performance meets throughput and reliability metrics</li></ul>

The Team Lead/ Scrum Master will support development, integration, and sustainment of product. Key Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Perform functional verification of CPU logic to ensure alignment with architectural and microarchitectural specifications
</li><li>Work across pre-silicon, emulation, and post-silicon environments to validate design functionality and debug issues across the product lifecycle
</li><li>Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans for CPU and IP components
</li><li>Perform functional coverage analysis, identify verification gaps, and implement strategies to close them
</li><li>Build scalable verification environments, including UVM-based testbenches and functional coverage models
</li><li>Define and run system-level simulation models to validate functionality, power, and timing, and uncover bugs
</li><li>Identify, replicate, debug, root-cause, and resolve design issues and bug escapes in pre-silicon environments
</li><li>Implement corrective measures to address failing tests and improve design robustness
</li><li>Collaborate closely with CPU architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams on complex feature verification
</li><li>Maintain and enhance verification infrastructure, methodologies, and automation flows
</li><li>Develop scripts and automation tools for testing using Python, Perl, C/C++, or similar languages to optimize verification workflows and improve throughput Leverage AI techniques and innovative approaches to enhance verification processes and improve test coverage, significantly reducing product life cycle and validation timelines
</li><li>Document test strategies and drive technical reviews with cross-functional stakeholders
</li><li>Contribute to the definition and refinement of CPU architecture and microarchitecture features

</h2>Minimum Qualifications
<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field with 3+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with 2+ years of experience, OR PhD with 0+ years of experience
</li><li>Experience in computer architecture fundamentals, with emphasis on CPU microarchitecture
</li><li>Experience with hardware modeling languages such as Verilog, VHDL, or System Verilog, and industry-standard simulation tools (through coursework, projects, or industry experience)
</li><li>Experience in debugging and validation, including test development, coverage analysis, and root cause analysis
</li><li>Experience developing or working with UVM-based or similar verification environments
</li><li>Programming experience in at least one language such as C/C++, Python, or Perl 
</li></ul> 
Preferred Qualifications
<ul><li>Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field, with demonstrated experience in CPU design, verification, or architecture
</li><li>Knowledge of x86 architecture, Intel Architecture ISA, and assembly programming, with hands-on experience applying it to verification or design tasks
</li><li>Experience with pre-silicon and post-silicon CPU verification, debugging, and analysis, including identifying and closing coverage gaps
</li><li>Familiarity with software validation, including microcode, firmware, or low-level code generation, and applying these skills to enhance CPU verification
</li><li>Experience developing robust and scalable verification environments and testbenches using SystemVerilog UVM/OVM, Specman, C/C++, Python, or similar languages
</li><li>Advanced use of industry-standard simulation tools (e.g., Synopsys VCS) and version control systems (e.g., Git) to optimize verification workflows
</li><li>Intel or industry experience in microarchitecture, CPU design, or verification of CPU cores, with technical ownership or leadership in key areas

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $105,650.00-200,340.00 USD
