<div><p>As a <b>Development Manager</b> will lead a team of full-stack engineers building and maintaining enterprise-scale web applications for the automotive retail industry. You will be deeply involved in code reviews, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with Product Owners, QA, and vendor partners to ensure high-quality, timely releases across multiple initiatives.</p>
<p>This role reports to the VP of Web/Digital Engineering and is a key technical leadership role for someone who still enjoys staying close to the code while mentoring developers and improving how we deliver software.</p>
<h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Responsibilities</b></h2>
<ul><li>Lead, mentor, and grow a team of full-stack developers working primarily in C#, .NET Core, and Vue.js.</li>
<li>Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards to maintain code quality, scalability, and security.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with Product Owners to refine requirements, estimate effort, and prioritize sprint deliverables.</li>
<li>Manage and coordinate third-party vendors and offshore teams to ensure aligned execution and technical consistency.</li>
<li>Define and enforce development processes, including branching strategy, CI/CD, and QA/testing practices.</li>
<li>Oversee release management and ensure smooth deployment across staging and production environments hosted in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).</li>
<li>Partner with architecture and DevOps teams on performance, scalability, and infrastructure optimization within GCP.</li>
<li>Encourage and promote the use of AI-assisted coding tools (such as GitHub Copilot, OpenAI, or similar platforms) to expedite development output and enhance team productivity.</li>
<li>Track project health through KPIs such as sprint velocity, defect rates, and on-time delivery metrics.</li>
<li>Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Qualifications</b></h2>
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li>
<li>7+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role</li>
<li>Strong technical expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, SQL Server, and modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js preferred)</li>
<li>Experience leading or contributing to enterprise-level SaaS or marketing platforms</li>
<li>Proficient with Git, DevOps, Jira, and agile development methodologies</li>
<li>Proven ability to manage vendors or offshore teams, balancing speed with quality</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical discussions</li>
</ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Preferred Experience</b></h2>
<ul><li>Familiarity with automotive digital retailing, dealer website platforms, or marketing automation systems</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage</li>
<li>Exposure to microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and API-first architecture</li>
<li>Knowledge of performance tuning, load testing, and accessibility/SEO best practices.</li>
<li>Demonstrated success introducing or scaling AI-driven coding or automation tools to enhance developer efficiency</li>
</ul>
