SAAS is looking for a creative, digitally savvy Social Media &amp; Digital Content Coordinator to help tell the story of our vibrant school community. As a member of the Marketing and Communications team, you&rsquo;ll be the day-to-day driver of our social media presence and a key contributor to digital content that brings the SAAS experience to life for current students and families, prospective students, alumni, and the broader community.
This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who is passionate about storytelling, visual content, and the energy of a school environment where students are constantly questioning, imagining, and creating. You&rsquo;ll be embedded in the life of the school&mdash;capturing classroom moments, performances, athletics, outdoor adventures, and the everyday magic that makes SAAS unique.
<h6 class="jobSectionHeader">Key Responsibilities</h6>
Social Media Management
<ul><li>Own the day-to-day management and content creation for SAAS social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo and emerging platforms</li>
<li>Maintain a social media content calendar that reflects the rhythm of school life&mdash;from performances and athletic competitions to community service projects and Summit events</li>
<li>Develop engaging, on-brand content (photos, short-form video, graphics, captions) that captures the spirit of SAAS and resonates with diverse audiences</li>
<li>Monitor and engage with followers, respond to comments and inquiries, and foster a positive online community in line with school best practices</li>
<li>Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to amplify SAAS&rsquo;s voice</li>
</ul>
Photography &amp; Visual Content
<ul><li>In coordination with the Marketing Communications team, capture photos and videos at school events, performances, games, and daily school life for use across digital channels</li>
<li>Collaborate with colleagues across departments&mdash;including Enrollment, Advancement, Athletics, and Arts&mdash;to source stories and content opportunities</li>
<li>Assist in organizing and managing the school&rsquo;s digital photo library on Vidigami</li>
<li>Create simple graphic design assets (social media graphics, digital flyers, event promotions) that align with SAAS brand guidelines</li>
</ul>
Analytics &amp; Reporting
<ul><li>Track and report on social media performance metrics (engagement, reach, follower growth) to inform content strategy</li>
<li>Monitor basic website analytics (Google Analytics) and contribute insights to improve digital communications</li>
<li>Assist in compiling reports that measure the effectiveness of digital content and campaigns</li>

Digital Content &amp; Website Support
<ul><li>In coordination with the Marketing Communications team, support maintenance and content updates of the SAAS website (Finalsite), partnering with departments across the school to keep information accurate and compelling</li>
<li>Assist in writing and editing web copy, blog posts, and feature stories that highlight student achievements, faculty perspectives, and school programs</li>
<li>Help optimize web content for search engines (SEO) and contribute to strategies that improve site traffic and engagement</li>

<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, journalism, or a related field</li>
<li>1&ndash;3 years of experience managing social media accounts for an organization, brand, or institution (internship experience counts!)</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for storytelling</li>
<li>Proficiency across major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) and familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, Sprout Social)</li>
<li>Basic photography and videography skills; comfort shooting and editing content on a smartphone or camera</li>
<li>Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), or similar</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously</li>
</ul><h6 class="jobSectionHeader">Preferred</h6>
<ul><li>Experience in an education, nonprofit, or mission-driven environment</li>
<li>Basic understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and email marketing platforms</li>
<li>Experience with video editing (iMovie, Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, or similar)</li>
<li>A genuine interest in working with adolescents and a school community</li>

About the Role:
Each intern will work directly with a team assigned to Public Affairs in the Director&rsquo;s Office or one of DNRP&rsquo;s internship cohort divisions and programs :<ul><li>

Interns will work with their teams on products such as news media engagement, social media, videography and photography, employee engagement, high-profile press tours and briefings for leadership and the County Executive.
Interns will complete a portfolio of communications products, including a writing a news release, social media plan, and gain video or photography and web content production experience. Interns can expect to work with a group of peers to develop job skills such as social media and photography training, learn from subject matter experts in the field, and network with other communication professionals across the county.

<div>Working Conditions:<ul><li>
Work Location: The Communications team works in a hybrid model, with days in the office as well as telecommuting. The ratio of remote to onsite work will be dependent on business needs and is subject to change. The primary onsite location is at King Street Center, 201 S. Jackson, Seattle, Washington 98104.</li><li>
Requirement: Employees must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance to King County worksites to meet onsite reporting requirements.</li><li>
Work Schedule: This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.</li><li>
Union Representation: This position is not represented by a union.</li><li>
Duration: This recruitment aims to fill 5 intern positions who will work across the four division and the DNRP's Public Affairs Office, for approximately 10 weeks during the summer.</li></ul><div>
