ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Position Summary: 
The Gate Hold Server is responsible for delivering the OTG guest experience and will be our front line--the point of contact for our guests. A Gate Hold Server must possess strong interpersonal skills, coupled with a sunny disposition, and a positive outlook. Adhering to the OTG Core Steps of Service is an absolute must, while working in restaurants assigned by our management team.
 
Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Greet and welcome guests quickly and pleasantly, with a smile</li>
<li>Delivering beverages and menus promptly</li>
<li>Communicating all daily food and drink specials</li>
<li>Demonstrating knowledge of menus and beer selections</li>
<li>Assisting guests in entering all orders into the iPad/computer system</li>
<li>Offering menu items and up-selling to guests</li>
<li>Preparing hot and cold drinks and mixed non-alcoholic drinks</li>
<li>Demonstrating appropriate wine service techniques</li>
<li>Assisting other servers, as needed</li>
<li>Sweeping and mopping premises, as required</li>
<li>Clearing tables</li>
<li>Keep a spotless working environment through regular cleaning and sanitizing</li>
<li>Participating in daily side-work tasks</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance</li>
<li>Maintain knowledge of airport, terminal and restaurants; offer information, recommendations, etc.</li>
<li>Communicate any issues or quality of service problems to the MOD immediately</li>
<li>Other duties, as assigned</li>
</ul>
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
 <ul>
<li>Must be at least 18 years of age</li>
<li>Fully conversational in English</li>
<li>Able to lift 35lbs. in weight</li>
<li>Must be mobile and able to stand for extended periods, to stoop, kneel, and crouch</li>
<li>Must be available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather conditions--must be flexible</li>
