Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate AOD (Alcohol and Other Drugs) Counselor to join the WestCare team. In this position you will play a key role in the departments SUD program. These counselors deliver group therapy to an outpatient program for over a six-month period utilizing WestCare Foundation, Inc.'s Technical Proposal Maryland DPSCS Substance Use Disorder Treatment Services (BPM020644 23) and the Addiction Treatment Protocol (ATP) developed in-house, based on the federal cognitive model.However, various intense treatments may be required in order to be able to address specific needs of the inmates, In addition, the group ATP treatment program. Your expertise will help clients develop healthier coping strategies, achieve recovery goals, and improve overall well-being. Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues.</li><li>
Provide psychosocial evaluations and psychotherapy/talk therapy sessions for support to residents.</li><li>
Maintain accurate documentation.</li><li>
Provide social support therapy sessions to patients through weekly therapy sessions.</li><li>
Implement therapy plans that fit each patient's personal needs.</li></ul>
Flexible Work Schedule:<ul><li>
Self-determine your schedule between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday-Friday</li><li>
Part-time: 1 - 2 days per week</li><li>

Compensation:<ul><li>
$400.00 to $800.00 per day or more depending on your license and experience</li><li>
Psychologist-$550-$800 per day average</li><li>

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of full-time employment/internship working in a human-services setting OR Master's Degree in behavioral science, as defined above.</li><li>
License: CSW, LCSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, LCADC-A, LCADC</li></ul>
