A Brief Overview

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the General Laborer will support the Facilities &amp; Maintenance team by assisting with the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, and general construction tasks at AEG facilities and venues while maintaining a safe work environment. The responsibilities include but are not limited to performing minor repairs, polishing and cleaning, recording meters and gauges, moving items, general landscaping and etc. 


What you will do

<li>Perform general facility maintenance as delegated by the Maintenance Manager including repairing equipment and furniture, assembling and moving equipment and furniture, and general landscaping, while reporting any major repairs to management.</li>
<li>Perform general custodial tasks like plumbing, cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures, painting, mopping, sweeping, replenishing supplies, and disposing of trash.</li>
<li>Maintain orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.</li>
<li>Assist with projects safely using hand tools to cut, shape, splice and fit fiberglass materials.</li>
<li>Check and record information from meters and gauges to verify operation conditions are appropriate.</li>
<li>Set-up and configure furniture according to floorplans to aid to the functionality of facility events.</li>
<li>Assist with repairing and adjusting electrical, air conditioning and central cooling, ventilation, and heating systems.</li>

FM is currently seeking qualified candidates for the following full-time opening: Campus Maintenance Worker IV at our 1,600-acre Research Campus located in West Glocester, RI.
With minimal supervision from the Campus Maintenance General Foreman or Campus Group Manager, performs general maintenance and mechanical duties at the FM Research Campus. May oversee a team to perform repairs. Performs various duties such as building repairs, minor plumbing, HVAC related needs including working with energy management control systems, minor electrical repairs, some carpentry, furniture moves, snow removal, vehicle repairs, grounds-keeping, and all types of cleaning, snow removal and responding to tenant requests. May be required to work as needed on emergency call-in basis.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Identifies maintenance issues that require outside intervention, and with the guidance of the maintenance general foreman, initiates contact and arranges service with outside vendors.</li><li>
Performs general building maintenance which includes replacement of lights, ceiling tiles, general clean up in and around the building.</li><li>
Moves furniture and heavy office equipment as required and may be required to install furniture. Responds to all other tenant requests</li><li>

During winter months has snow removal responsibilities including operating snow plows, front end loaders, or skid steers requiring a hoisting license.</li><li>
