<li>Support and advise City employees approved to use GIS applications.

</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Administer, maintain, and support Enterprise Esri Aeronautical Reconnaissance Coverage Geographic Information System (ArcGIS) environments, including configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordination of maintenance activities.</li>
<li>Design, develop, and maintain automation to support GIS operations and publishing workflows using Python for ArcGIS and GIS modeling tools.
</li><li>Establish repeatable, documented processes for scheduled and on-demand tasks such as dataset builds, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks, and publishing.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and standards to promote consistent GIS configuration, publishing practices, and supportability across City departments.

<p></p><div><p>GIS Interns for the Pasco County BOCC Government &ndash; Department of Public Works will embark on an internship that will provide students the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills gained from the classroom in a hands-on, professional environment. They will assist in researching and conducting special projects as assigned. Responsibilities will focus on importation &amp; QA/QC of Public Works assets, attributes, and their related data. Assigned duties will also include research and documentation to produce data for input or reports, assisting field collection and verification of data, and performance of other duties as assigned. Interns will work under the direct supervision of the Public Works GIS Analyst, who will train and supervise the intern on how to efficiently utilize ArcGIS Pro and its extensions. The internship will mutually benefit the Pasco County BOCC and provide students the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills gained. Interns will be expected to work an expected 12-20 hours a week, depending on course load and departmental needs. Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 20 lbs. or more.</p></div><p></p>

Field work generally consists of asset data collection, equipment troubleshooting, and other related work as required. Field work requires prolonged exposure to the elements for extended periods of time and the ability to safely traverse uneven ground and brush. Ability to report to the office daily for assigned duties, this position does not offer the opportunity to work remote.<br>

<b>EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE</b>: Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Degree in Geography, Environmental Science or related field. Candidate must have completed at least one course in GIS focusing on use of ESRI&rsquo;s ArcGIS Pro software.<br>

Are you in? Primary Purpose:
<p>
Coordinating and assigning the data edit requests. Coordinating data maintenance process with engineering, operations and field personnel, implementation of data changes from field inspections; development of clearance maps, feeder approval process with operations edit requests from the OMS Model Administrator, requires job training when needed, the updates/maintenance of plats using CAD software. Managing the versions in the Graphic Information System (GIS) database; developing and maintaining GIS data maintenance procedures; following GIS data maintenance specifications; publishing maps for viewing applications such as ArcFM and NMT-Faar on a periodic base; and responsibilities for maintaining the quality and consistency of data within GIS, responsibilities for reviewing the completeness and data integrity for dependent systems, such as OMS, , WMIS, CAD, SAP, GWD, etc., and responsibility for the GIS symbology, connectivity and annotation rules.</p>
Primary Duties:
<ul><li>Prints feeder maps as needed, including Feeder Maps, Plats, Progress Drawings, etc.; edits tasks in database (GIS/WMIS) Interpret engineering drawings; updates/maintains plats using GIS and other appropriate software.</li><li>
Provides CAD drawings, maps, stored displays , shape files and PGDB (Personal Geo Database) files to internal, external customers, and specific external agencies. Prints maps as needed, including Feeder Maps, Plats, Progress Drawings, etc.</li><li>
Performs Emergency and Storm Contingency Work as needed.</li><li>
Tests all GIS related applications and tools as needed.</li><li>
Edits data/tasks in GIS to reflect field installed quantities of auditable units of property and has the ability to interpret engineering drawings.</li><li>
Follows QA/QC procedures. Creates data queries / reports as needed to report out on data quality and asset performance.</li><li>
Recommends productivity improvements.</li><li>
Updates/maintains land base and electric network facility data and maps using GIS/CAD and other appropriate software.</li><li>
Posts proposed and final construction drawings as required.</li><li>
Checks for completion of WMIS As-Built jobs requiring manual posting close out per required task.</li><li>
Reviews the WMIS/SAP Failure, GIS Pending Manual Posting, OMS/FMS, and other reports as needed to ensure data is entered properly as-built in GIS.</li><li>
Keep track of all requested actions and status of issues.</li><li>
Works in conjunction with supervisor and others on the development of data model changes and other technical discussions associated with the tracking of asset data in CAD/GIS.</li><li>
Coordinates work at direction of immediate supervisor or higher classified Graphic Editor and assigns, coaches, and helps train lower-classified employees. Creates training guides as needed.</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul><li>Associate's degree in Design, Applied Science, Engineering Technology or related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience, satisfactory to the Company.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, comprehend and communicate clearly and accurately with the English language.</li><li>
Knowledge of general drafting standards, practices and procedures and the ability to complete accurate drawings on schedule.</li><li>
Experience demonstrating skill reading and interpreting engineering/construction plans and drawings.</li><li>
Ability to interpret Grid Coordinate Systems (Longitude and Latitude coordinates).</li><li>
Ability to understand and apply the General Safety Procedures applicable to the job.</li><li>
Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, PDF conversion, database and e-mail software</li><li>
Experience demonstrating skill following technical instructions or procedures (for example, operating procedures, standards, code requirements, specifications).</li><li>

Performs the duties of lower classified employees as necessary.</li><li>
Employees in this classification are NERC &amp; FERC regulated; as such they will be required to comply with NERC &amp; FERC standards requirements, and/or procedures. Employees in this classification are required to complete and maintain their NERC &amp; FERC certifications annually.</li><li>
Performs work indoors and occasionally outdoors, which requires some physical activity.</li><li>
Sitting at a computer workstation with some walking involved. Occasionally requires bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting. Drives a company car as required.</li><li>
