The GIS Intern will contribute to geospatial data processing, spatial analysis, and map production efforts that support organizational objectives. Responsibilities:

What You'll Get to Work On</b></div><ul><li>
Assist in collecting, cleaning, and maintaining geospatial datasets from internal and external sources</li><li>
Support the creation and updating of maps, dashboards, and spatial visualizations</li><li>
Perform basic spatial analysis (e.g., buffering, geocoding, spatial joins, proximity analysis)</li><li>
Digitize features and edit spatial data to ensure accuracy and consistency</li><li>
Assist in maintaining GIS databases and metadata documentation</li><li>
Conduct quality control checks to verify data integrity and completeness</li><li>
Support field data collection efforts using GPS-enabled devices or mobile GIS applications</li><li>
Prepare map layouts and cartographic products for reports and presentations</li><li>
Collaborate with analysts, planners, or technical teams to support project needs</li><li>
Document workflows and assist in developing standard operating procedures</li><li>

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in GIS, Geography, Geospatial Science, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related field</li><li>
Coursework in GIS, cartography, spatial analysis, remote sensing, or geographic data management</li><li>
Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, or QGIS</li><li>
Familiarity with spatial analysis tools (e.g., buffering, overlays, spatial joins, geocoding)</li><li>
Basic understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and geodatabases</li></ul>
