What you will do:
The Governance Manager will support Corporate Governance Leadership with the daily operation and administration of SECU governance, risk and compliance programs/responsibilities. This position, through specialized knowledge and skill, provides support to the organization on all matters relating to corporate governance.
Governance Manager adheres to regulations and organizational policies, maintaining awareness and knowledge required to perform the duties of the position, including all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulations, such as OFAC, and the USA Patriot Act, Fair Lending and Information Security.
A day in your life might include:
<ul><li>Responsible for daily management and coordination of SECU&rsquo;s Corporate Governance Program initiatives and workstreams.

Education and Experience Requirements
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required</li>
<li>Certified Credit Union Compliance Officer (CUCO) Certification or Certified Regulatory Compliance (CRCM) Certification required or must be obtained within the first year of employment</li>
<li>3-5 years management experience required</li>
<li>8-10 years of demonstrated responsibility in a Governance, Risk, or Compliance role with a focus on GRC program development, monitoring and reporting</li>
<li>Understanding of rules/regulations and enterprise risk awareness from prior roles</li>

1. Ensure proper management of the Information Security Controls and Governance resources to support ongoing business initiatives from a security controls and governance perspectives, ensuring the development of the necessary security access matrix mapped to the staff&rsquo;s job titles and business activities.

5. Ensure proper timely tracking and closure of open (internal/External) audit issues.

6. Manage and oversee the Identity Access Management and Governance program to ensure proper governance of identities during the employment life cycle of all personnel in accordance with the security requirements and policies. including the development of the applications&rsquo; security matrix.

7. Manage and oversee the implementation of the Security Controls and Governance roadmap to ensure the planned reviews are conducted as per the predefined frequencies as well as the closure of the identified gaps in a timely manner, and ensure conducting access rights certification campaigns over the different bank systems to validate current access rights granted to employees, and ensure proper enforcements of actions identified as an outcome of the campaigns.

8. Handle and manage exceptions and escalations to ensure proper support and alignment is in place between Information Security Controls and Governance area and the different stakeholders. This includes resolving communication conflicts to ensure a streamlined process is in place.

9. Work collaboratively with Business units, IT teams, Audit, Legal and risk management functions to address open gaps/issues driven from internal/external audit, independent assessments and reviews as applicable, and ensure proper tracking mechanism is in place in coordination with the relevant stakeholders.

10. Ensure proper enforcement of the developed security policies and controls including Physical and Environmental Security policy, Human Resources Security Policy, Information Governance Policy. This in addition to the URL Filtering, Internet Access Policies as well as the Data Loss Prevention Policies.

11. Ensure adherence to the defined security controls operating model to support the different security controls requirements and communicate violations to the relevant teams. This includes managing the different security controls approvals including (Removable media access, Remote Working Access, Internet Access, External Email Access, EMM, etc..) ensuring adherence to the set SLAs and TAT.

12. Assess and take the necessary actions towards the different policies&rsquo; violations identified through the Privileged Access Management, Security Monitoring Tools such as NexThink, DLP or through the on-going SOC monitoring and reporting.<div>

Corporate governance and compliance are critical components for companies, and we guide them through the complex regulatory landscape to better understand the impact on their business.Key Accountabilities:<ul><li>Support with establishing framework for corporate governance, risk management, and compliance management.</li><li>Review regulatory developments and assess their impact on the client&rsquo;s compliance landscape.</li><li>Support with development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.</li><li>Lead risk management activities, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.</li><li>Provide advisory support on internal audit activities, for audit plans, audit reports and periodic updates to the Board and senior management of the client.</li><li>Provide guidance and training to client staff and internal teams on GRC related matters.</li><li>Collaborate with senior management and other departments to align the client&rsquo;s GRC strategies with overall organizational goals.</li><li>Set performance objectives, provide guidance and mentorship, and conduct regular performance evaluations.</li><li>Support and mentor junior team members with their skill and career development.</li><li>Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.</li><li>Support the Leadership in business development related activities.</li><li>Identify new business opportunities, prepare, and present proposals to the clients.</li><li>Support Partners in their relationship management responsibilities, with current and prospective clients.</li><li>Manage the junior team&rsquo;s members utilization on projects and conduct their performance assessment.</li><li>Collaborate across business units and functions.</li></ul>Qualifications and Experience :<ul><li>University degree in Accounting/Business/Finance/Commerce (Bachelor/Master)</li><li>Master&rsquo;s in Business Administration from a leading business school with specialization in Finance / Economics / International Business (preferred)</li><li>Profession certifications ACA, CIA, CIMA CPA, or ACCA (preferred)</li><li>7+ years&rsquo; experience in corporate governance / risk management / compliance / audits;</li><li>Good knowledge of governance principles and frameworks, regional regulatory landscape, internal audit, and risk management frameworks;</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with proven leadership qualities and an entrepreneurial mindset;</li><li>Political awareness, professional expertise, financial orientation, self-starting initiative, cross cultural awareness, organization astuteness and team spirit;</li><li>Demonstrable evidence of the ability and experience in setting out a clear strategic direction, leading and inspiring others to achieve a common purpose;</li><li>Possesses excellent analytical, and critical thinking skills; and</li></ul>Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in interacting with and presenting to the external stakeholders, English as well as Arabic (preferred)Job Type: Full-timePay: From QAR1.00 per monthWork Location: In person
