 As a Government Relations Officer you are responsible for processing and carrying out all transactions relating to visas, permits, licenses, registration, pertaining to employees, hotel vehicles and the hotel itself, liaising with various Government Departments and Agencies and your role will include key responsibilities such as-
 
 
 <ul>

 Process all types of visas including employment visas, residence visas for employees as well as for entertainers
 </li>
 <li>
 Process and renew of permits and licenses including hotel trade license, liquor trading license, chamber of commerce certificates of registration, civil defense certificate for the hotel, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Process and renew of entertainers permits/N.O.C through Department of Tourism
 </li>
 <li>
 Registration process and renew for all hotel vehicles
 </li>
 <li>
 Obtain permits for special promotions such as raffles, publishing or advertisement displays as required
 </li>
 <li>
 Be up to date with regard to any changes or amendments to the prevailing laws / rules / regulations, changes in forms / formats and other procedures and keep the Human Resources Department advised of such changes
 </li>
 <li>
 Submit relevant documents periodically to the immigration / labour office with regard to cancelled / absconding employees and delete from the hotel&rsquo;s sponsorship list
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete departure and exit formalities for employees after cancellation of visas
 </li>
 <li>
 Obtain quarterly sponsorship reports from the immigration / labour office and tally sponsorships and re-submit to immigration / labour office with relevant support documents

 You should have a diploma or degree in a related discipline with experiences in the same role. You must be fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English and a computer literate.

Job Description 
What&rsquo;s On Your Plate?<ul><li>
 Handling a specific vertical / project for the incorporation to the licensing stages. Supporting management in providing them with the conditions and requirements of relevant authorities (Ministry of Commerce, DED, Municipality, MOH), during the process of establishing new entities/ licenses.</li><li>
Coordinating with the management of any matter/accident at the Ministry of Interior (police) related to drivers, and attending on behalf of the company.</li><li>
Correspondence on investigation conducted by the ministry of interior when inquiring about 3PL's drivers/customers information.</li><li>
Renew official documents of the company e.g trade license, chamber of commerce, CR, import license, municipality license. And issuing health certificates for all staff required to hold the same.</li><li>
Liaising with the respective dept e.g the marketing dept to issue a license for a campaign (e.g discounts, offers, rewards). In addition to the clearance process of shipments at the customs department.</li><li>
Carrying out procedures of adding new activities to the CR, and obtaining any approvals required for this.</li><li>
Carrying out procedures of issuing new branch licenses/CR for new locations and obtaining all necessary approvals/ licenses/training such as not limited to municipality, civil defense fire dept, etc.</li><li>
Handling the customer complaints filed at the Consumer Protection Authority attending before the authority to discuss and provide the needed support to close the complaint amicably.</li><li>
Attesting contracts before the Ministry of Justice, whenever it is required</li><li>
Liaising with the sponsor/authorized signatories to attend before the authorities whenever it is required.</li><li>
Attesting documents before the ministries and embassies whenever required. And delivering any correspondence to authorities or companies.</li><li>
Carrying out any procedure for obtaining approvals from relevant authorities (if needed) for CSR initiatives</li><li>
Updating the legal department of any governmental procedural changes, whenever applicable.</li><li>
Paying, reconciling or solving violations from ministries such as traffic, municipality, food and nutrition etc.</li><li>
