The Housing Division (HD) partners with local governments, Tribes, housing authorities, nonprofits and other organizations to develop and preserve affordable housing, promote individual and family self-sufficiency, and reduce adult and youth homelessness. 
 
This position works in the Homelessness Assistance Unit (HAU) within the HD and reports to the Compliance Team Supervisor and contributes to the unit objective of supporting a high functioning homeless crisis response system in each county through compliance grant management activities. 
 
This position will work with the Consolidated Homeless Grant (CHG) program team and the Quality Assurance (QA) team in HAU to ensure compliance with state and agency contract terms and published program guidelines. The primary area of responsibility is ensuring that expenditures for all state-funded grants and contracts in HAU are for allowable costs through invoice back-up documentation review and fiscal monitoring.

<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Duties</h2></div>
<div><div>Review and approve invoice documentation per state and agency requirements. 
Tasks include: 
<ul><li>Follow all state and agency requirements to ensure compliance and accountability when reviewing and approving grant and contract invoices for reimbursement.</li><li>Establish and follow record keeping procedures for storing invoice documentation to meet internal control standards.</li><li>Utilize contract terms, program guidelines, and tools developed by or in consultation with the HD Contract Compliance Supervisor to conduct all phases of invoice processing and back-up documentation review.</li><li>Ensure grantees receive adequate training and instructions on invoice submission and documentation requirements so that grantees are in compliance with grant terms.</li><li>Communicate timelines to grantees to ensure timely submissions. Respond promptly to grantee questions and provide technical assistance on submission deadlines and required forms.</li><li>Contact grantees who have submitted incomplete documentation and provide support/training to ensure timely payment of invoices.</li><li>Collaborate with CHG Program and Quality Assurance staff to examine discrepancies and ensure alignment between reported expenditures and approved budgets.</li><li>Provide professional-level recommendations on grantee training opportunities to team and supervisor.</li></ul> 

Conduct grantee fiscal monitoring for all state funded grants in alignment with state and agency requirements to ensure compliance and accountability. 
Tasks include: 
<ul><li>Follow all state and agency requirements to ensure compliance and accountability when conducting fiscal monitoring.</li><li>Utilize contract terms, program guidelines, and tools developed by or in consultation with the HD Contract Compliance Supervisor to conduct all phases of fiscal monitoring.</li><li>Lead communication with counties on timelines for materials due and required follow-up and provide technical assistance on submission deadlines and required forms.</li><li>Develop fiscal monitoring forms and instructions and provide training to grantees on how to complete required forms.</li><li>Promptly follow up with grantees who submit incomplete documentation and proactively track all responses to ensure timely resolution.</li><li>Ensure fiscal monitoring is completed during grant cycle so that program is in compliance with agency, division and unit requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with program and quality assurance staff to investigate discrepancies and ensure alignment between reported expenditures and approved budgets.</li></ul></div></div>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">Qualifications</h2></div>
<div><div>Required Position Qualifications: 
Any combination of seven (7) total years of experience. This could be gained through a combination of relevant education beyond high school equivalency and/or professional-level experience in grant and contract management and financial compliance. 
 
Experience must include: 
A minimum of three (3) years of professional-level experience must include at least three of the following areas: 
<ul><li>Ability to review financial documents and statements to ensure compliance with reimbursement requirements and conduct grant fiscal monitoring.</li><li>Interpreting, writing, and applying detailed policies and procedures with strong attention to detail.</li><li>Technical knowledge of contract documents, associated budgets and compliance with terms and conditions.</li><li>Skilled in customer engagement, developing tools and providing technical assistance.</li><li>Experience working across teams to share customer feedback, challenges and experiences and developing solutions.</li><li>Familiarity with Commerce contracting and grant management systems and processes.</li></ul> 

Lived experience with housing instability and/or experience navigating and receiving services from public systems such as homeless and housing services systems, foster care, the criminal legal system, or behavioral health system may substitute for two years of professional experience.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Grant Coordinator supports the operational and administrative management of Point Park University's institutional grant portfolio. This position is responsible for grant research support, pipeline tracking, budget coordination, compliance monitoring, and post-award administration. The Grant Coordinator ensures that grant activity is accurately documented, compliant with funder and University requirements, and effectively supported from opportunity identification through grant closeout.
This role works under the direction of the Institutional Partnerships Manager and focuses on execution, documentation, and compliance, enabling strategic grant development, funder engagement, and proposal leadership to remain centralized within the Office of University Advancement.
Scope of Responsibility
This position provides operational and administrative support for institutional grants. The Grant Coordinator does not lead grant strategy, manage funder relationships, or independently develop proposal narratives. All work is completed under the guidance and direction of the Institutional Partnerships Manager.

Purpose of the Job:
The Grants Manager is responsible for building Coptic Orphans' grantmaking capability and scaling up impact in targeted communities. This role involves managing the full grant cycle, identifying funding opportunities, allocating funds, assessing proposals, monitoring, reporting, and closing out grants. The position focuses on strategic portfolio management, grant quality assurance, risk oversight, and generating portfolio-level insights. 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Grant Cycle Management:<ul><li>
Identify innovative key areas and build a pipeline of potential grantee partners aligned with Coptic Orphans' goals in education, health, child protection, girl empowerment, and leadership development.</li><li>
Design and issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to solicit applications from potential grantees with clear objectives, selection criteria, and expectations for grantees.</li><li>
Lead proposal assessment and due diligence, including field visits, to evaluate programmatic strength and financial management capability of potential partners.</li><li>
Set grant terms including scope, milestones, reporting schedule and format, and disbursement conditions.</li><li>
Ensure appropriate financial stewardship in coordination with Finance, including budget tracking, disbursement readiness, and financial reporting discipline.</li><li>
Maintain strategic partner relationship management.</li><li>
Coordinate with Programs, Finance, Marketing (and other relevant functions) to support smooth implementation, documentation, and visibility requirements</li></ul>
Grant Quality Assurance &amp; Impact Reporting:<ul><li>
Review grantees' submitted MEL plans and reporting frameworks during proposal evaluation and contracting, and provide targeted feedback to ensure they are clear, feasible, measurable, and aligned with project objectives.</li><li>
Conduct systematic quality assurance on partner-submitted progress and final reports through detailed desk reviews, validation of key evidence, and periodic site visits to verify credibility of results and alignment with approved activities.</li><li>
Identify risks, performance concerns or financial discrepancies early, drive timely corrective actions with partners, and escalate when needed.</li><li>
Lead grant closeout processes, including final verification, documentation, and lessons learned.</li><li>
Aggregate quantitative and qualitative data across the grant portfolio to generate actionable insights, performance dashboards, learning briefs, and consolidated annual impact reports.</li></ul>
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (Master's is a plus)</li><li>
5-7 years of relevant experience in grant management, partner management, program management, or donor-funded project implementation within nonprofit/INGO/development settings.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience reviewing partner MEL plans, conducting grant quality assurance, and verifying reported results.</li><li>
Demonstrated experience running structured processes (RFPs/proposal review, due diligence, contracting/agreements or equivalent documentation, reporting cycles, closeout).</li><li>
Strong understanding of project budgeting and financial stewardship (budget review, variance awareness, reporting discipline) and ability to work closely with Finance.</li><li>
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.</li><li>
Fluency in English and Arabic, spoken and written.</li></ul>
Travel and Working requirements<ul><li>
Typical office environment such as walking, sitting, typing, using office equipment, and occasional lifting of boxes or luggage during travel.</li><li>
Travel throughout Egypt may reach as much as 50% of the time.</li><li>
Working outside official hours and on weekends may be required.</li></ul></div>

The Grant and Communications Manager plays a vital role in Food Bank of Alaska&rsquo;s mission by supporting our overall fundraising efforts through the research, securing, documentation, and tracking of grant funding and the development of compelling communications materials to engage our donors. This individual will be responsible for supporting the diversification of Food Bank of Alaska&rsquo;s overall fundraising efforts through a variety of development responsibilities with an emphasis on the identification of new grant funding opportunities and for coordinating the grant lifecycle for the organization/ The leader in this role will also work cross-departmentally to ensure alignment on funding of key initiatives and to create and implement communications content (including story capture and reporting) to engage donors and other key stakeholders.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIESFundraising and Grant Management1. Conduct ongoing research to identify funding opportunities, proactively seeking out relevant and high potential grant funding opportunities from foundations, government entities, and corporate funders that align with Food Bank of Alaska&rsquo;s mission, operations, and existing and potential programs.2. Manage the grant application process, working interdepartmentally as well as externally within the Food Bank of Alaska network to capture relevant information in a timely fashion, engaging multiple stakeholders with a highly customer service-oriented approach.3. Develop compelling grant proposals and application materials, including writing, editing, and reviewing, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to grantor guidelines and deadlines.4. Maintain grant information within our tools and systems and develop new grant application and reporting tracking materials as needed.5. Support the organization in the administration of awarded grants, tracking relevant information related to deliverables, budgetary information as needed, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.6. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with grantors and other donors through targeted outreach, stewardship, and regular communication, ensuring follow up on open opportunities as needed.7. Monitor grant-based philanthropic field for trends to plan for future opportunities and ensure Food Bank of Alaska is connected to appropriate grant networks and exposed to potential relevant funding opportunities.8. Support the Chief Philanthropy Officer and development team in working to develop our overall donor engagement efforts and outreach.9. Identify and participate in relevant professional development opportunities.Communications and Content Development1. Manage the development and refinement of a story-capture process for Food Bank of Alaska, working interdepartmentally to establish and maintain a regular cycle of regular and rhythmic identification, cataloguing and creation of content.2. Support the planning and implementation of cross-channel content to support annual fundraising cycle, working closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager. This may include and not be limited to identifying story opportunities/needs for annual publications and grant reporting needs, scheduling and planning, and generating content from drafting to editing.3. Develop and refine donor-facing content including but not limited to direct mail, reports/newsletters.4. Identify, collect, and draft client stories for use in grant proposals, publications, and acknowledgement letters.5. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information, develop content/collateral and coordinate outreach strategies.QUALIFICATIONS&middot; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (e.g. English, communications or journalism) and/or 2+ years of relevant work experience.&middot; Strong writing and editing skills with ability to translate program initiatives and impact into effective solicitation materials, proposals and reports for a variety of stakeholders. Some grant-writing and/or fundraising experience preferred.&middot; Strong desktop research and related organizational skills.&middot; Project management/coordination experience desired.&middot; Highly proficient with MS suite, specifically Office, Word, and Excel.&middot; Experience utilizing online content and social media to achieve community engagement preferred.&middot; Strong verbal and writing skills required.
