</b></h2></div><div><p>The Post Award Sponsored Funding Administrator will work on a team to provide general or specialized post award support for grant and contract award establishment. This position will analyze award documents for deliverables, invoicing and financial reporting requirements and compliance needs and enter this information into the Purdue award system. The Sponsored Funding Administrator will establish the appropriate accounts by working closely with the departmental staff. Serve as liaison to the sponsor and partner with Business Office, Faculty, and other University personnel in the establishments of grants. Manage project tasks and make improvements to enhance the Post Award Setup process.
</p><p><b>Account Setup - </b>Responsible for the setup of assigned grants. Collaborate with Faculty, BO and other staff in the monthly reconciliation of sponsored accounts. Responsible for the allocation and authorization of expenses to appropriate accounts. Complete and/or review data entry in the system to support setup and account management following established procedures and expectations. Ensure accuracy and correct errors identified in audits. Understand business processes in the support of the daily management of grants and contracts. Communicate unique requirements of an award to business office, faculty and the other SPS Post Award teams. Prioritize work, in order to complete assignments on a timely basis. Recommend process improvements on the assigned team as well as processes that cross other teams in SPS and as appropriate make improvements to processes, systems, and procedures. Continually increase knowledge of impacts grants management data has on reporting and compliance.
</p><p><b>Post Award Outreach and Liaison - </b>Partner with Business Office staff, faculty, and other University personnel in the establishment of grants accounts. Work proactively to avoid problems and/or identify issues and work with others to resolve any issues in a timely manner. Provide guidance to business offices, PI's, and others on proposed account setup to ensure compliance with the award terms and conditions, ensuring uniform guidance, and Purdue Policies are followed. Responsible for assisting business offices with cost share account setup information. May assist in training preparation to both the SPS group and business offices across campus.
</p><p><b>Sponsor Liaison - </b>Interpret Uniform Guidance, University, and sponsor regulations to identify how to setup the accounts to meet compliance requirements. Communicate with sponsor personnel as needed to obtain clarifications needed for the award setup process. Continuously monitor sponsor, federal or university policy changes and update resources in Post Award.
</p><p><b>Other - </b>Coordinate and/or assist with other activities, special projects, and reports. May serve on subcommittees. Perform other duties as requested.

</b></p><p>30% Analyze fully executed clinical trial agreements (CTAs) and translate contract payment terms into study team tracking system templates that support sponsor invoicing for corporate clinical research studies. Educate study teams on effective study activity tracking to support sponsor invoicing and maximizing clinical research revenue. Provide guidance, training and mentorship in utilization of OnCore CTMS subject and protocol tracking and invoicing.</p><p></p><p><br>
1. Interpret industry sponsored clinical research contracts and budgets and develop study activity tracking documentation to support appropriate recovery and reimbursement for all study activities. Verify the research record to include protocol and study personnel information, type and source of funding, add the appropriate study costs and build study invoicing calendar within the Clinical Trials Management System to support efficient study tracking and optimization of corporate clinical research revenue and reporting.</p><p>
2. Work collaboratively and develop effective working relationships with Investigators, key study personnel, departmental finance teams to and Research Administration to accomplish activity tracking and sponsor invoicing goals.</p><p>
3. Educate study teams on effective study activity tracking on a pre-defined schedule and provide guidance, training and mentorship in utilization of CTMS subject and protocol tracking and invoicing.</p><p>

2. Develop sponsor invoices based on invoicing milestones, invoiceable, and pass through costs ensuring that receipt of revenue is timely and first revenue received is within OCR established reporting goals.</p><p>

5. Work collaboratively and professionally with OCR staff, the Medical University of South Carolina research community, and external research customers such as pharmaceutical companies and Contract Research Organizations (CRO).</p><p>
6. Work with the department/division business managers and study teams to resolve invoicing issues, communicate with sponsors and Contract Research Organizations (CROs) to resolve disputes and recover earned revenue.</p><p>
7. Provide superior customer service to effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers.</p><p>

1. Utilize and integrate data from MUSC financial systems, CTMS, Cayuse, eIRB, Epic, SPARCRequest within the Research Integrated Network of Systems (RINS) to monitor impact of sponsor invoicing.</p><p>
2. Generate and provide monthly industry study financial reports to department for Principal Investigators, Department Administrators, and Business Managers for the studies managed by the OCR Sponsor Invoicing team and provide guidance on interpretation of study financial data.</p><p>
3. Routinely assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and executive summary reports distributed to principal investigators, department administrators and OCR management and leadership.</p><p>
