<b>General Statement of Duties:
</b></p><p>The Associate Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs is responsible for coordinating and supporting post award grant activities at Westfield State University. The Associate Director will facilitate faculty, staff, and administration efforts to manage and monitor resources in support of teaching, scholarship, research, work of discipline-related centers of excellence, and the mission and vision of non-academic programs and offices at the university.</p>
<p>The Associate Director facilitates the management of institutional grants to further the strategic interests of the institution. They are responsible for proactively communicating with faculty, staff, and administration, and partnering with them in the management and completion of proposals which includes budget and reporting to funding agencies. This position is required to maintain records in accordance with state and federal regulations, adhere to Institutional procurement policies and procedures, manage to contractual obligations, review all grant activities and expenses, assist the Executive Director in developing Institutional policies and procedures to ensure contract compliance, and provide guidance to grant recipients and project administrators.</p><br>

Collaborate campus-wide in aligning faculty priorities, staff needs, the President's vision, and the University Strategic Plan to ensure program activities and research further WSU's goals of providing academic excellence and innovative research opportunities.</li><li>
Develop, submit, and maintain grant reporting records such as progress or financial reports as defined or required by the funding agency.</li><li>
Provide regular and robust education for the University community on grant management requirements.</li><li>
Consult with faculty, staff and administration regarding methodology and compliance with granting agency requirements.</li><li>
Work collaboratively with external partners to support the post-award work of grants on behalf of Westfield State University.</li><li>
Regularly monitor the status of proposals after submission, providing tracking and follow-up.</li><li>
Assist funded project administrators/principal investigators in compiling narrative and financial information to report to government agencies, foundations and corporations.</li><li>
Serve as a liaison between grant recipients and the University's Finance Office to assist with appropriate accounting and reporting mechanisms.</li><li>

Breaking Ground's programs and services help people experiencing street homelessness - especially those who have been on the streets the longest - to come indoors. Rent Administrator
<br>The Rent Administrator is responsible for overseeing the rent collection process. They are responsible for responding to tenant questions and concerns about rent. The Rent Administrator also works closely with tenants and social services to ensure that rent is paid in full each month. Additionally, this position will work closely with the Finance department to maintain accurate and timely rent records for tenants and to develop effective strategies for addressing and solving tenant rent issues. The incumbent works closely with outside counsel and with a variety of subsidy agencies. The Rent Administrator is the primary point of contact for tenant rent subsidies.

<b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</b><br>

<li>Maintain accurate income and rent information in various databases</li>
<li>Prepare weekly reports of tenants’ rent status, reason for arrears, current court status, Public Assistance arrears, and contact made with the individual regarding rent issues</li>

<li>Maintain a clear and comprehensive list of due dates for all tenants in payment plans, court stipulations, and which tenants, in owing unpaid rent, are not entitled to special services within the building</li>

<li>Collaborate with social services on tenants’ rent issues</li>
<li>Collaborate with Entitlements Specialist to follow up on payments or grants from outside organizations</li>

<li>Draft legal documents, including 14 Day Demand notices</li>
<li>Coordinate with maintenance department regarding additional repair or replacement charges</li>
<li>Complete, review, and track all subsidy and lease renewals</li>
<li>Oversee tenant rent changes, including those changes that affect rent subsidies</li>
<li>Provide residency letters for individuals, when applicable</li>
<li>Coordinate with outside counsel regarding non-payment legal action and make court appearances, when necessary</li>
