Job Summary:
Manages achievement of department sales and profits using acceptable business practices. Provides leadership of department personnel. As Sr Vendor Manager - Strategic Projects &amp; Vendor Experience, you will drive profitability improvements across Amazon Grocery through strategic vendor programs, and business process &amp; tool convergence, enabled by AI-powered automation. 
 
This role oversees programs that have direct, tangible, and material impacts on the entire Amazon Grocery P&amp;L. This position will work closely with the Finance, Vendor Management, and retail operations teams and will represent the Vendor Experience team in meetings with Senior Leadership across the One Grocery and Core Consumables organization. This position will be the single-threaded leader responsible for delivering key insights on Vendor Financials and Net Profitability as well as for creating the process and resource infrastructure that supports continuous improvements in grocery Vendor Funding. This position will also own partnering with Tech and Non-Tech teams across the organization to continuously drive improvements in business integrations and reporting for the Amazon Grocery organization. They will use their deep understanding of data paired with their nuanced knowledge of Vendor Financials to partner with stakeholders across numerous teams to deliver solutions that scale with the business and have cross-organization impacts. 
 
Successful candidates will have deep experience in Program Management, P&amp;L Management, and in building solutions based on in-depth analysis of complex data. Candidate experience should cover project management, business requirement documentation, process design, business management, and user acceptance testing responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in leading stakeholders across different teams to deliver solutions to unusually complex challenges is expected as this is an ongoing requirement for this position.

A day in the life 
As a Senior Vendor Manager for Strategic Projects &amp; Vendor Experience, you'll be at the intersection of finance, technology, and vendor relationships&mdash;solving some of Amazon Grocery's most complex profitability challenges. Your day involves analyzing vendor funding data to maximize profitability and identify automation opportunities, partnering with technical teams to build scalable solutions, identifying opportunities and pathways to converging business processes and tools, and presenting strategic insights to senior leadership across One Grocery and Core Consumables. You'll leverage AI and machine learning tools to transform manual processes into automated workflows, directly impacting the entire Amazon Grocery P&amp;L. This isn't just process improvement&mdash;it's process transformation at scale, where your solutions will touch every category team and vendor relationship across the organization. 
 
About the team 
The Vendor Experience team works with every part of the grocery organization in order to provide vendor negotiations, vendor engagement, and vendor funding programs that deliver the best customer experience while also continuously improving retail controllable profitability. This team provides the process, tooling, and strategic infrastructure that supports category teams across the entire grocery organization in building and maintaining strong vendor relationships and driving continuous improvement in profitability.</div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</h2><ul><li>5+ years of with Excel experience</li><li>Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work across multiple teams</li><li>Demonstrated experience designing and implementing process automation solutions using AI/ML tools and technologies to drive operational efficiency and eliminate manual workflows</li><li>Experience with data analysis tools (Excel at advanced level). Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with significant business impact</li><li>Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across multiple teams</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
