Job Summary:</b></p><p>
Manages achievement of department sales and profits using acceptable business practices. Provides leadership of department personnel. Maintains product levels and quality control in grocery department. Ensures products are displayed in accordance with Brookshire Grocery Company standards and all regulatory food safety practices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Carries out management responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training and developing partners; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining partners; and scheduling, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.</li><li>
Reviews historical data to predict future sales from ads and promotions. Manages inventory using item management processes to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels. Reviews profit and loss, sales, shrink, and labor data; provides verbal or written summary to upper management regarding any related issues.</li><li>
Responsible for maintaining and improving sales performance, financial results, public relations, product quality, and work standards.</li><li>
Inspects product for quality control and food safety standards. Ensures product is within date and rotates accordingly.</li><li>
Promotes product sales through use of suggestive selling initiatives and appealing product displays.</li><li>
Ensures maintenance of stock conditions on grocery display racks and shelves.</li><li>
Checks inventory on trucks, unloads products, and ensures accuracy of inventory, product ordering, and associated paperwork.</li><li>

Job Summary:</b></p><p>
Responsible for managing fresh perimeter departments, including bakery, deli, produce, and market. Ensures quality of product, food and physical safety, and inventory stock levels. Oversees execution of merchandising plans, ensures adherence to Company standards and procedures, manages achievement of store sales and profits using acceptable business practices, and promotes customer service.</p><p></p><p><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Carries out management responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training and developing partners; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining partners; and scheduling, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.</li><li>
Ensures effective training of partners within the departments under their supervision.</li><li>
Reviews historical data to predict future sales from ads and promotions. Manages inventory using item management processes to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels. Reviews profit and loss, sales, shrink, and labor data; provides verbal or written summary to upper management regarding any related issues.</li><li>
Responsible for maintaining and improving sales performance, cash flow, public relations, product quality, and work standards.</li><li>
Frequently required to open/close the store. Ensures the store is presentable for the customer shopping experience; makes certain adequate staff is available; ensures safety, responsiveness, and fiscal management of cash and monetary assets.</li><li>
Enforces quality control and food safety standards throughout multiple departments and ensures dated products are stocked and rotated properly. Maintains cooler and freezer organization.</li><li>
Verifies consistent adherence to proper cooking and holding temperatures in alignment with food safety standards.</li><li>
Conducts store inspections and takes appropriate action to ensure store conditions adhere to Company standards.</li><li>
Reviews planograms and executes effective merchandising plans to increase sales through displays, store layouts, and category management promotions. Ensures price and signage accuracy.</li><li>
Develops and implements initiatives and strategies for loss prevention and shrink reduction.</li><li>
Plans short-term strategic objectives aligned with supporting banner strategies, anticipates problems, and revises plans to account for changing circumstances.</li><li>
Assists in the direction of store operations and management of operating expenses to maximize cash flow, EBITDA, sales, gross margin, and net profit.</li><li>
Promotes and maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures.</li><li>
Displays exemplary customer service and acts as a role model for partners; enforces customer engagement standards by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer complaints.</li><li>
Checks inventory on trucks, unloads products, and ensures accuracy of inventory, product ordering, and associated paperwork.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
