Under limited supervision, this position plays an important role in keeping State buildings and grounds safe, secure, and well-maintained&mdash;helping ensure a positive environment for employees and the public alike. In this role, you&rsquo;ll contribute directly to the upkeep and functionality of State facilities by performing general maintenance and a wide range of tasks as needed. Responsible for weed and pest control, mowing, trimming, aerating, planting trees, and repairing sprinkler and irrigation systems.</li><li>
Removing snow and ice in addition to other general building and grounds repair work.</li><li>
Repairs, adjusts, and assists in the installation of a variety of equipment and fixtures.</li><li>
Works as a helper in any specialist trade area (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, or locksmith).</li><li>
Performs preventive maintenance and janitorial duties in the building facilities.</li><li>
Updates inventory on pertinent custodial, construction, and office equipment. Maintains current inventory of parts and supplies; keeps logs on equipment.</li><li>
