The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for advocating and supporting adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can. Their support needs include, but are not limited to, household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, etc&hellip;so that they may always look and feel their best. The DSP may be asked to assist them to their medical appointments, banking, assist them to become active members of their community, attend outings, administer medications, follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and goals, and to follow medical guidelines that are in place.
DSP workers are provided paid New Employee Orientation, paid CPR/First Aid, PABC, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP), as well as program and person specific training at the individuals&rsquo; home. The DSP must be able to safely evacuate individuals from the home in the event of an emergency.
DSP workers must maintain certifications, handle job related duties in compliance with Agency policies and follow all DDS regulations/policies.

Full-time: 40 hours
Pay rate: $19.00-$20.50 per hour &ndash; Paid training provided by Venture!
Sign on Bonus: $1000 for Full Time and $500 for Part Time Employees
Summary:
This full-time role in an adult residential setting involves supervising and supporting residents' daily activities while fostering their physical, emotional, social, and vocational development. The Residential Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that residents are engaged in meaningful activities that promote greater independence, community integration, and personal growth. Compassion, teamwork, and leadership skills are essential. This position offers an opportunity for growth, leadership, and meaningful work in supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving greater independence and well-being. This position is compensated on an hourly basis. 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li><ul><li>Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs), behavior plans, and assessments to align with individual needs and program goals.</li><li>Create, lead and supervise Direct Support Professionals during shifts, ensuring consistent communication and adherence to daily scheduled plans.</li><li>Ensure all ISP programs and behavior data sheets are documented</li><li>Ensure medications are delivered and documented</li><li>Ensure recreation and DRO&rsquo;s/DRL&rsquo;s are run as directed</li><li>Ensure the cleaning schedule has been completed thoroughly by those assigned</li><li>Foster community involvement, employment opportunities, and recreational activities that support resident engagement and personal development.</li><li>Coordinate with families, guardians, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care and support as directed by Residential House Manager.</li><li>Assist with financial management, including resident accounts and house budgets, as directed by the Residential House Manager.</li><li>Attend annual and semi-annual reviews as assigned by Residential House Manager.</li><li>Ensure the program maintains the standard outlined in the Department of Developmental Services Mission Statement, the Survey and Certification Tool</li><li>Perform safety checks, assist with fire drills, and ensure compliance with DDS regulations and safety standards.</li><li>Oversee and support residents in meal preparation, shopping, and other daily living activities.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and records related to residents' progress, health, and program involvement. Ensuring all staff complete daily reports and tasks as assigned</li><li>Assist with household maintenance needs and vehicle upkeep to ensure a safe and functional living environment.</li><li>Take a leadership role in planning individual leisure activities and ensuring residents have access to opportunities for recreation and personal development.</li><li>Serve as the primary contact during shifts, communicating day-to-day updates to administrative personnel in the absence of the Residential House Manager.</li><li>Maintain First Aid, CPR, MAP &amp; PABC certifications.</li><li>Maintain training specific to individual programmatic issues.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul></li></ul>
Physical and Scheduling Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to assist residents with personal care, including lifting and transferring individuals.</li><li>Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, overnight coverage, and occasional overtime as needed.</li><li>Must be able to handle physically demanding situations, such as assisting in emergencies or behavioral crises.</li></ul>
Requirements:

Qualifications:<ul><li>B.A./B.S. in education, psychology, rehabilitation, or related field preferred or one year of experience in human services.</li><li>Must maintain active MAP certification, will need to obtain MAP certification within 3 months of hire.</li><li>Must be 21+, with a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver&rsquo;s license, and daily use of a car (preferred).</li></ul></div>
