About the role
The Class A CDL Driver will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and Customer sites. This position will consist of operating van trailers hauling containerized waste, i.e. (Drums, Totes, Pallets) and other equipment including vacuum tankers, roll off trailers, and dump trailers. 
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Drive commercial vehicles and operate specialized pump equipment on vehicles to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials in a safe manner while following all EPA and DOT regulations and meeting scheduled appointment times.</li><li>
Prepare customer manifests specific to the product delivered and obtain customer signatures.</li><li>
Complete accurate electronic Driver Logs daily.</li><li>
Maintain records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, and shipping manifests according to state and federal regulations.</li><li>
Communicate, verbally and electronically, with dispatch regarding pick-up and delivery instructions.</li><li>
Interpret maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions.</li><li>
Perform daily pre trip and post trip inspections thoroughly on items such as tires, lights, brakes, air lines, oil, coolant, permit books, etc.</li><li>
Secure cargo prior to and during transit.</li><li>
Ensure and maintain elite standards of all operating equipment including but not limited to: Organized and cleanliness of the inside cab, outside cab, outside tanks, hoses, trays, fittings, and all other ancillary parts.</li><li>

</li><li>Follow company spill response and exposure control plans in accordance with Cal/OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (8 CCR &sect;5193) 
</li>Immediately report spills, exposures, accidents, or compliance concerns

</div>Provide professional, courteous service at customer locations

</li>Communicate discrepancies, access issues, or compliance concerns to dispatch or management

</li>Represent the company in a professional and compliant manner at all times

</li></ul><div>Required Qualifications 
</div><ul><li>Valid California Class C driver&rsquo;s license 
</li>Clean driving record and ability to meet insurance requirements 
<li>
</li>Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical as required 
<li>
</li><li>Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs 
</li><li>Willingness to complete required California medical waste and hazardous waste training 
</li></ul><div>Preferred Qualifications 
</div><ul><li>Experience handling regulated medical waste or hazardous waste in California 
</li><li>Familiarity with CDPH, DTSC, and MWMA requirements 
</li>Experience completing California medical waste tracking documents or hazardous waste manifests 
<li>
</li>HazMat awareness training (company-provided if needed) 
<li>
</li></ul><div>Physical &amp; Work Environment 
</div>Frequent lifting, bending, standing, and walking

</li>Exposure to regulated medical and hazardous waste with proper PPE and training

</li>Indoor and outdoor work environments, including healthcare and industrial facilities
