Our Toddler EHS Teacher is responsible for implementing the curriculum, providing age-appropriate instruction, managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom, maintaining children's hygiene, monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional concerns, working with parents to ensure that children are learning and socializing in a positive way and assisting with preparing and serving meals and providing feeding assistance. The teacher must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment. The teacher will actively engage, encourage, teach, and care for and nurture toddlers.<br>

<p>The curriculum used in this EHS classroom is the Creative Curriculum/Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG). Lesson planning and antidotal record keeping/documentation is completed within the online TSG portal. Teachers receive ongoing training throughout the school year and attend at least one Early Head Start conference each year. Teachers are responsible for completing parent meetings and individual service plans for their EHS students throughout the year and are supported by an EHS Curriculum Coach on an ongoing basis. The ratio of teachers to students in the EHS classroom is 2 teachers to 8 students with Crescent implementing care groups within the EHS classrooms with a 1:4 ratio.</p><p><br>
The EHS teacher will be supported by Crescent our EHS partners in getting their CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) in an online training format, if they do not have a CDA, equivalent credential, or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.</p>

</p></div><div><ul><li>Develop, implement and review the school&rsquo;s Inclusion Strategy, policy and graduated response to additional needs
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Embed an inclusive culture and ensure inclusion is reflected in school improvement planning
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Promote high expectations for all students and monitor the impact of inclusive practice on outcomes
</li></ul><div><ul><li>Provide training, coaching and modelling for teachers to build capacity for high‑quality inclusive teaching
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Work closely with curriculum leaders to adapt planning, resources and assessment to meet diverse learner needs
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Line manage inclusion staff and ensure professional development and performance management are effective
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensure there are mechanisms for monitoring and constructive feedback to enhance the inclusion teachers&rsquo; quality of teaching and learning
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Maintain accurate records and use assessment data to evaluate the impact of provision and to inform next steps
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Produce regular reports on inclusion outcomes for senior leaders, governors and parents
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensure statutory deadlines (EHCP reviews, referrals) are met
</li></ul><div><ul><li>Ensure all inclusion practice is aligned with the school&rsquo;s safeguarding policy and statutory requirements
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Promote student wellbeing and support positive behavior strategies
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Oversee budgets for resources, staffing and specialist provisions where applicable
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensure all documentation, referrals and SEND processes meet local and national guidance
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Support the admissions process by taking part in admissions interviews, lesson observations, etc
</li></ul></div><div><p>Specific Duties
</p></div><div><ul><li>Organize classroom provision, learning resources and displays to encourage an inclusive learning environment
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Plan and support sessions that cater for a wide range of abilities
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Observe, assess and review student progress and adjust provision accordingly
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Meet with professionals (speech &amp; language therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists) as required
</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Use school systems (e.g. Target Tracker, CPOMS) to record progress, incidents, and communications</li></ul></div></div></div></div>
