The Dental Billing Manager oversees back-end revenue cycle operations and billing functions. Reporting to the Director of Clinic, this position is responsible for managing the full scope of billing activities, including electronic submission, insurance pre-authorizations, EDI claim edits, electronic remittance advice (ERA) payment posting, denial management, and accounts receivable follow-up. The role ensures accurate coding, timely claims processing, resolution of payer edits and denials, and compliance with payer requirements and applicable regulatory standards. 
 
The Dental Billing Manager works closely with the Manager of Patient Experience to ensure coordination between front-end patient access processes and back-end revenue cycle functions. This role supervises insurance billing specialist staff and oversees daily billing workflows within the electronic health record and practice management systems, ensuring accurate data transmission, payment reconciliation, and claim resolution. The position also oversees credentialing activities, including initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and CAQH attestations, ensuring faculty providers remain properly enrolled with participating in insurance carriers to support uninterrupted billing. 
 
In addition, the Dental Billing Manager develops and maintains standard operating procedures that support staff onboarding, training, and consistent billing practices across the department. Through effective oversight of billing operations, staff supervision, and collaboration with clinical and administrative teams, the Dental Billing Manager supports efficient revenue cycle performance and the financial sustainability of the program. 
 
Position Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Oversee the operations of the billing department, including CDT and CPT coding, charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, and reimbursement management.</li>
<li>Ensure timely and accurate submission of dental and medical claims in accordance with payer requirements and institutional policies.</li>
<li>Monitor accounts receivable performance and implement strategies to reduce aging and improve reimbursement outcomes.</li>
<li>Manage electronic claim transmission and EDI components within the electronic health record and practice management system.</li>
<li>Supervise billing office personnel, including work allocation, staff training, and resolution of operational issues.</li>
<li>Evaluate staff performance and make recommendations regarding personnel actions while supporting productivity and operational efficiency.</li>

Experience &amp; Educational Background: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.</li>
<li>Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of experience in dental or healthcare revenue cycle management, including high-volume claim adjudication and insurance billing operations.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience managing dental and medical claims processing, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, and denial resolution.</li>
<li>Minimum of three (5-7) years of supervisory or management experience within a billing or revenue cycle environment preferred.</li>

Skills &amp; Competencies:

JOB SUMMARY:
The Revenue &amp; Billing Cycle Manager (RBCM) is responsible for overseeing the full billing and collections cycle across ACC Senior Services&rsquo; multi-service enterprise. This includes primary responsibility for managing skilled nursing facility (SNF) billing, managing billing for senior residential facilities including independent living (IL), assisted living (AL), memory care (MC) and managing the state and private grant billing for ACC&rsquo;s senior programs. The RBCM serves as a subject matter expert in healthcare and residential billing, provides backup coverage for the SNF Billing Specialist, documents all billing processes and provides oversight and guidance to billing staff across the organization. The RBCM is a senior to all billing specialist staff. This is an exempt position reporting to the Controller.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
<ul><li>Manages the full SNF billing cycle including submission, follow-up, and collections for Medicare, Medi-Cal, Kaiser, and other managed care and commercial payers.</li><li>
Ensures accurate and timely claim submission through Point Click Care (PCC) and NetSuite, including UB-04 and other required forms.</li><li>
Oversees payer authorization processes, monitors days in accounts receivable, and drives resolution of denied or underpaid claims.</li><li>
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Medicare Part A and Part B billing rules, Medi-Cal reimbursement methodologies, managed care contract terms, and applicable state and federal regulations.</li><li>

QUALIFICATIONS:
