EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</b> Preferred high school diploma or GED equivalent. Prior experience in a hospital or behavioral healthcare environment, patient care, and/or transportation is a plus.</p><br>

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:</b> Active valid driver's license. CPR course required within 30 days of hire. Completion of various safety trainings upon hire.</p><br>

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b> Transports patients to and from behavioral healthcare services. Maintains a safe environment for patients, self, and co-workers. Communicates with the team, co-workers, and patients in a positive and professional manner. Takes initiative to deliver the best customer service, even during times of stress. Knowledgeable of all aspects and functionalities of the client transportation system. Provides appropriate safety oversight and monitoring for all clients while in transport.</p><br>

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:</b> Good communication skills to interact with all patients and staff. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Requires frequent extended transports. Must be able to sit for long periods. Excellent customer service skills.</p><br>

WORK ENVIRONMENT:</b> Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances. Possible exposure to patient elements. Handles emergency or crisis situations. Subject to many interruptions and pressure from multiple calls and inquiries. Occasionally subject to irregular hours. Handles absentee replacement on short notice. Personal protective equipment (masks) is required when transporting patients.</p><div><p><b>

</p><ul><li>Responsible for the safe transportation of customers to and from Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital and the community to meet their various health care needs.</li>
<li>Duties include: driving, escorting clients to and from the vehicle, and preventive maintenance/care of vehicle.</li>
<li>Work will be performed in an ethical and legal manner following organizational policies, processes, protocols and procedures.</li>
<li>Responsible for quality service delivery and internal/external customer relations for Madonna as a whole, including upholding the mission and values for the department and facility.<br>
