The Junior Support Specialist ensures effective and efficient computer operations so that end users can accomplish their goals. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end-user help requests. Problem resolution will involve the use of diagnostics and help request tracking tools, and hands-on assistance at the desktop level.
Please note: This is a temporary position with an anticipated assignment length of approximately four (4) months.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

About the Role
The Client Support Technician role is a part-time position that provides supplemental, as-needed support to assist in running day-to-day technology operations for our clients, with a focus on helpdesk ticket response via email and Slack. This role is intended to extend team capacity during periods of increased client demand, coverage needs, or special projects and does not represent a full-time position. We expect this role to be up to 20 hours per week, during business hours, 9-6pm ET. This role is onsite with the possibility of some remote work.
The Client Support Technician is responsible for maintenance of various technologies managed by Personified on behalf of our clients. This position reports to the Director of Client Support for day-to-day coordination and escalation. Our team works across various communication platforms, including Slack, a ticketing system, and video calls, to coordinate and stay in touch throughout the day.
Client Support Technician Responsibilities

The Desktop Support Specialist II provides an escalated level of support to business area management and staff at a highly technical level for all aspects of workplace technology services including but not limited to network-based systems, software and hardware.
Responsibilities
1. Provides support to business area management and staff at the highest customer service and technical level for all aspects of workplace technology services including but not limited to network-based systems software and hardware, systems security, recovery and back-up procedures, troubleshooting, repairs, installations and upgrades 
2. Manage, support, and troubleshoot network printers, scanners, mobile devices, etc. 
3. Moves, adds and changes workstations throughout Mount Sinai locations and off campus. 
4. Provides support for Mount Sinai users at remote sites outside the campus which might require local travel. 
5. Participates in the testing of new workplace technology packages, including remote connectivity products, equipment, implements and tests prototypes, installation quality assurance tests and ensures consistency with standards, protocols, and procedures. 
6. Provides second level support on incidents and escalates problems and issues as required to various IT groups.

Qualifications
Education
A baccalaureate degree in Information Technology or related area and three years of experience in a helpdesk, desk side, application, or systems support role.
OR
A four-year high school diploma or GED equivalent and five years of satisfactory experience in the area described above.

At least three (3) years of full-time experience in computer repair, maintenance and installation.</li><li>

Position Summary

** This position&rsquo;s regularly scheduled shift is weekdays, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Flexibility may be required to accommodate the needs of the team during peak times throughout the academic year**

The Instructional Support Assistant will execute administrative and logistical management to Academic Directors, faculty, and students at the School of Professional Studies. Under the supervision of the Instructional Support Supervisor, the Instructional Support Assistant will execute requests for scheduling, classroom resources, on-site support and other administrative services. The Instructional Support Assistant will also perform other relevant duties and participate in related projects as needed.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Under the supervision of the Instructional Support Supervisor, the Instructional Support Assistant will work with specified SPS departments to handle ad hoc logistical requests; provide instructional support for block week classes, MS defenses, capstones, weekend course work, lectures, academically focused receptions, and residencies</li>
<li>Arranges classroom space for courses and re-scheduling with professors, as well as notifying students, when needed; provide logistical support for exams, print and deliver exam papers to exam locations; collaborate with curriculum and instruction team to arrange for class reserves packets (course reserves, library reserves)</li>
<li>Address faculty requests that are received through Zendesk; responsible for the analysis and reporting of Zendesk data; interface across departments and schools in Columbia University for space requests</li>
<li>Execute Zendesk tickets. Purchase materials/licenses for Academic Directors/Faculty. Send communications to students through Canvas for course related issues; provide administrative support to course-related activities that require special tech or space needs, execute term-based modification of course information and content</li>
<li>In collaboration with Academic Director, faculty, Alumni and Events Management, provide admin support for scheduling Academic events, (weekly, monthly etc.) speaker series, and student workshops; work with Academic Director/Director of Administration to organize speakers/faculty for events; reserve space, coordinate tech set up and any materials for a variety of events including (employer information sessions); order food for academic events; work with Academic Director&rsquo;s or event stakeholder to provide on-site support for Academic events</li>
