 JOB PURPOSE:
 
 To provide professional support for designing and implementing effective mathematics instruction that will enhance learning opportunities for all students.
 
 
 
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
 
 (include but are not limited to):

 Implement district-identified mathematics initiatives and curriculum mapping in mathematics using Curriculum Guides and district-adopted textbooks
 </li>

 Create and deliver model classroom demonstration lessons
 </li>
 <li>
 Exhibit excellent planning and organizational skills to handle paperwork and recordkeeping tasks in a timely and efficient manner
 </li>
 <li>
 Model the use of technology as a mathematics instructional tool
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and maintain accurate reports and all related forms and submit to Principal as required
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in professional organizations and inservice opportunities to continually update knowledge base
 </li>
 <li>
 Expedite assigned duties with minimal supervision
 </li>
 <li>
 Work as part of a team by establishing and maintaining working relationships that foster efficiency and productivity and promote cooperation with administrators, fellow employees, students, faculty and the public
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and teaching skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders and to enhance collaborative decision-making

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor&rsquo;s degree is required. Must hold or be able to obtain a current school-approved licensure/certification. Must have experience in instructing students in a classroom setting. A special education license or endorsement is preferred. Reading intervention endorsement or experience is also preferred.
Working knowledge of the subject matter assigned, classroom management, best practices and strategies, as well as the understanding of diverse student learning styles and needs is required. Qualifications to administer both cognitive and achievement testing with the ability to interpret testing data is needed. This position will also require reading and writing educational evaluation reports.
Must have excellent planning skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and able to adapt to changing environments and priorities. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet benchmarks and goals in a timely fashion. Strong interpersonal, organizational, facilitation and management skills are required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
