Role Overview</b>:</p><p>
As a Highway Technician you will work on Indiana highways and interstates performing general maintenance to keep the roads clean and safe. Review and analyze engineering plans for highway and rail impacts and compliance with applicable standards and specifications. Prepare reviews and recommend approval of engineering estimates. Manage and coordinate data for SAFETEA-LU projects to ensure timely completion. Investigate and resolve questions and concerns regarding grade crossing safety improvement projects. Assist VDOT Rail Safety Section, railroads and Local Assistance Divisions to ensure all grade crossing projects are addressed and implemented.
