Troubleshoots equipment problems and makes necessary adjustments in order to obtain readable test results. Refers problems to appropriate personnel.</p></li><li><p>
Operates various types of technical and computerized pieces of equipment, including facsimile machine, Treadmill, Holter Monitor system, Event Monitor equipment, Blood Pressure Monitor system, and be proficient using EPIC. Cleans with approved cleaning agent, stocks equipment and outpatient exam area.</p></li><li><p>

Applies Holter Monitors, Event Monitors and Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitors (where applicable) and instructs clients in their usage. Loads recorded information into the appropriate computer system, edits, and prints and prepares results for the appropriate Cardiology group to interpret. Performs and records EKG&rsquo;s and leaves results with patient chart. Prepares test results for Physician interpretation as directed. Logs, edits, transcribe and distribute reports as directed.</p></li><li><p>

The Nursing Station Technician floats to all areas of the pediatric hospital including critical care, transplant, oncology, and cardiology.
</div><div>This is a hybrid position consisting of both Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator roles to deliver direct patient care and administrative duties. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, collaboration and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Other job duties include:</div><ul><li>
Patient care such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding</li><li>
Maintaining unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts and ordering tests</li><li>
Setting up and maintaining patient rooms</li><li>
Ordering and stocking of supplies</li><li>
Functions in the role of a &ldquo;flyer&rdquo; and performs the EKGs along with holter monitor placement and responds to the needs of individual units</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Required</b></h2><div><b>
License/Certification/Registration</b></div><ul><li>
Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required. Ontrack participants are required to obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
AND ONE or more of the following:
</b></h2><div>Successful completion of Fairview&rsquo;s OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview sponsored Nursing Assistant program.
</div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>OR</b></h2><div>
Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting. (Appropriate roles may include, Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant or Emergency Room Technician).</div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
OR</b></h2><div>
Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program.</div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
OR</b></h2><div>
Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Tech or Nursing Station Attendant position.</div>
Qualifications:
