Job descriptionColumbine Caregivers is a locally owned home healthcare agency that has served the Grand Junction area for over 30 years. We have unique employment opportunities for those looking to help others in a highly rewarding line of work.We are currently looking for kind, caring, and compassionate people to join our team. We currently have openings for Personal Care Workers who are bilingual for our Spanish-speaking clients. We&rsquo;re looking for the best candidates in the valley and only employee those who have a genuine interest in helping others.Personal Care Workers help with a wide variety of needs. Some of the more basic common tasks may include helping with daily activities like meal preparation, dish washing, making a bed, laundry and light housekeeping. Other common tasks can include helping with bathing, ambulation assistance, incontinence care, companionship and safety supervision.There are typically a variety of shift schedules available, including mornings, days, evenings, and overnights during both the weekdays as well as the weekends. Our caregiver shifts range from 2 hours to 12 hours each (primarily in the client&rsquo;s home). In most cases, caregivers will see multiple clients within one day.Columbine Caregivers does provide both travel-pay as well as mileage reimbursement. Travel pay is additional pay in-between shifts that are scheduled within one hour or less of each other and compensates for the time it takes to get to the next client&rsquo;s home. The provider helps the person with their daily activities, assist the person with their health and wellness, promote and model a safe and meaningful lifestyle and encourage participation in the community.
Providers receive training and certifications, guidance and ongoing support from a case manager, clinical and nursing supports, 24/7 emergency on call assistance, and a generous tax-exempt stipend.
Provider qualifications:<ul><li>Must be 21 years or older</li><li>have an available bedroom to be individualized as the person desires</li><li>have a valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>own a reliable and insured vehicle</li><li>pass background and fingerprinting check</li><li>pass home qualification process</li></ul>
