Responsibilities:

Maintain Hospital Development responsibilities for assigned hospitals<ul><li>
Function as an expert resource within the hospital on all aspects of organ and tissue donation</li><li>
Work with hospital administration to create effective policies and procedures to support and improve organ and tissue donation</li><li>
Develop and implement plans to optimize hospital performance, including, but not limited to, an annual Hospital Plan</li><li>
Track hospital results to monitor progress and modify plans as needed</li><li>
Prepare written analysis of key donation outcomes</li><li>
Conduct monthly medical record review of missed opportunities for donation</li><li>
Meet regularly with appropriate Quality and/or management representatives to review hospital donation performance</li><li>
Develop solutions to issues that impede the donation process</li><li>
Facilitate hospital programs and committees that influence organ and tissue donation</li><li>
Develop and present educational programs on all aspects of the donation process for hospital staff</li><li>
Meet departmental deadlines for assigned projects, medical record review, hospital reporting, documentation of hospital interactions</li></ul></li><li>
Maintain Organ/Tissue responsibilities<ul><li>
Support the referral management process by completing on-site referral follow-up assignments within assigned hospital territory</li><li>
Conduct on-site evaluation of potential organ donors; review hospital charts and current records of potential donors; document findings and follow up plans in hospital charts</li><li>
Participate in medical rounds with neuro and trauma services
</li><li>Coordinate Patient Care Conferences with hospital staff during critical points in the referral and/or consent process</li><li>
Participate in after-action reviews to identify opportunities for process improvement</li></ul></li><li>
