Your Day-to-Day
Every day is different, but you&rsquo;ll mostly be:
Staff Accommodation &amp; Welfare Management<ul><li>
Oversee staff housing, including allocation, room changes, and upkeep of accommodations.</li><li>
Ensure all rooms for new joiners and internal transfers are thoroughly cleaned and prepared before move-in, with all amenities complete, including linens and welcome kits.</li><li>
Ensure staff living areas meet safety, hygiene, and comfort standards at all times.</li><li>
Monitor occupancy, resolve accommodation-related issues, and maintain accurate records.</li><li>
Welcome new employees, assist with airport pickups and local relocations, and ensure smooth onboarding. Provide information on bus transport, nearby clinics, restaurants, and grocery stores.</li><li>
Maintain accommodation inventory, including linens, welcome kits, cleaning tools, and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.</li><li>
Coordinate with contracted pest control providers and initiate pest control treatments in staff accommodation every three months.</li><li>
Coordinate with Heads of Department to initiate and schedule monthly apartment audits to ensure compliance with accommodation standards.</li><li>
Ensure staff accommodation is fully compliant with HR audits, RLR audits, and all applicable UAE staff accommodation regulations and standards.</li><li>
Act as the primary point of contact for all staff accommodation-related inquiries, issues, and coordination.</li></ul>
Staff Fun Hub &amp; Recreational Facilities Management<ul><li>
Ensure the staff fun hub is clean, safe, and well maintained at all times.</li><li>
Maintain and monitor all recreational and utility equipment, including bicycles, PlayStation units, billiard tables, computers, table tennis equipment, washing machines, refrigerators, and other related facilities.</li><li>
Arrange timely repair, servicing, or replacement of damaged or faulty equipment.</li><li>
Maintain and monitor CCTV and biometric access systems within the fun hub.</li><li>
Ensure that only authorized hotel employees have access to the staff fun hub and enforce access control procedures.</li></ul>
General Technician Duties<ul><li>
Carry out basic maintenance and repair works in staff accommodations and staff facilities (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and minor AC works).</li><li>
Conduct routine inspections of rooms, common areas, and recreational facilities to identify and rectify faults.</li><li>
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.</li><li>
Coordinate with external contractors and main engineering teams for major repairs.</li><li>
Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and spare parts.</li></ul>
Safety, Emergency &amp; Compliance<ul><li>
Coordinate with the Security Manager to plan, initiate, and conduct emergency fire drill training for staff accommodation and staff facilities.</li><li>
Ensure staff are aware of fire safety procedures, evacuation plans, and emergency assembly points.</li><li>
Support regular inspections of fire safety equipment and emergency systems in staff areas.</li></ul>
Administration &amp; Reporting<ul><li>
Prepare reports on accommodation occupancy, maintenance activities, apartment audit findings, fun hub maintenance, HR support activities, and safety drills.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with internal policies, health and safety regulations, audit requirements, and hotel standards.</li></ul>
Team Leadership &amp; Collaboration<ul><li>
Foster a positive, professional, and supportive living and recreational environment for staff.</li><li>
Coordinate with housekeeping, security, HR, engineering, IT, and HODs to ensure smooth facility operations.</li><li>
Act as a liaison between management and staff regarding accommodation, maintenance, audits, welfare, recreational facilities, compliance, and safety matters.</li></ul>
Human Resources Management<ul><li>
Support HR initiatives, staff engagement programs, events, and recognition activities.</li></ul>
What We Need from You
Ideally, you bring some (or all) of the following qualifications and experience.
Education &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>
Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Maintenance preferred.</li><li>
HR or hospitality-related training is an advantage.</li></ul>
Experience &amp; Skills<ul><li>
3&ndash;5 years of experience in staff accommodation management and/or general maintenance, preferably in hospitality.</li><li>
Experience supporting HR initiatives, managing staff facilities, and participating in safety or emergency training is an advantage.</li><li>
Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance systems and basic IT/AV equipment.</li><li>
Good understanding of health, safety, hygiene, accommodation regulations, audit standards, and fire safety requirements in the UAE.</li><li>

<div><div>JOB SUMMARY
Communicates service needs to chefs and stewards throughout functions. Totals charges for group functions, and prepares and presents checks to group contacts for payment. Verifies banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks are ready for service. Verifies proper centerpieces are displayed on every table. Inspects the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to use. Checks in with guests to verify satisfaction. Sets tables according to type of event and service standards. Communicates additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Maintains cleanliness of work areas throughout the day. Supports compliance with brand standards and legal obligations. Supports and leads shift teams to provide consistent, high quality service. Coordinates and leads daily stand-up meetings, pre-shift meetings and pre and post-meal briefings. Communicates performance expectations and trains staff in processes. Assists more senior managers in completion of financial and administrative duties. Strives to continually improve guest/event and employee satisfaction and maximize financial performance.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.</li></ul>
OR
<ul><li>If no standard educational background, at least 3 years of experience in two of the following areas of hospitality to include food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.</li></ul>
Preferred
<ul><li>Experience running a shift, scheduling, Performance Manage PAF's, Problem Solving, Running Day-to-Day Operation, Hospitality Skills.</li></ul>
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Management of Event Operations associated with Banquets, Event Services
<ul><li>Verifies meeting and event rooms/space are set according to event documentation (Banquet Event Orders, resumes, etc.) and customer requirements.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Leads shifts and actively participates in the servicing of events.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Adheres to and reinforces all standards, policies, and procedures (Core Deliverables, SOPs, LSOPs, etc.).</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists in maintaining the inventory of function room amenities (e.g., pads, pens, candy, water service) and other controllable supplies.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Attends and participates in all pertinent meetings (e.g., Daily Stand Up, BEO, Staff, Forecast, Department and Intradepartmental).</li></ul>
<ul><li>Attends pre-event/pre-convention meetings as needed to understand group needs.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Communicates critical information to the Banquet, Event Services and Event Technology teams.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Conducts room function inspections prior to each event to ensure the room is set according to specifications.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Delegates tasks to ensure room sets are &quot;on time&quot; and meet Event Management Standards.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Verifies employee awareness of the event phase portion of the Event Satisfaction Survey and Guest Satisfaction Scores.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintains attendance log for Banquet, Event Service and Event Technology employees.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Manages departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Orders supplies for the department (e.g., china, glass, silver, buffet equipment, and other service equipment needs).</li></ul>
<ul><li>Schedules Banquet and Event Service staff to forecast and service standards, while maximizing profits.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Utilizes banquet beverage tools to guide banquet beverage supervisor in controlling liquor costs, managing the banquet beverage perpetual inventory and requisitioning liquor.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Practices and executes brand specific meeting services program per Brand Standard (Redcoat Program, PlumPerfect Program, etc.)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assists with the Event Technology/Audio Visual team when necessary in order to ensure customer satisfaction.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Works with Event Planning team to verify flawless delivery of events.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Verifies knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations are up to date.</li></ul>
