Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, a Housekeeping and Laundry Aide must assist in maintaining a clean, sanitary environment throughout the facility. <p><b>Primary Housekeeping Responsibilities</b></p>

<li>Complies with the facility&rsquo;s attendance policy requiring regular, reliable, and punctual attendance</li>
<li>Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met</li>
<li>Cleans resident rooms according to assigned schedule and established facility procedures</li>
<li>Cleans other areas of the facility as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor</li>
<li>Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms</li>
<li>Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners</li>
<li>Maintains floors in a hazard-free manner; uses &ldquo;wet floor&rdquo; signs, as appropriate</li>
<li>Empties wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas</li>
<li>Assists Housekeeping Supervisor with weekly and monthly major housekeeping tasks as requested</li>
<li>Follows all universal precautions and infection control procedures</li>
<li>Reports hazards such as broken, loose or worn flooring, handrails, etc. to Housekeeping Supervisor, Maintenance, or Administrator</li>
<li>Follows all universal precautions and infection control procedures and can answer Department of Health on proper isolation precautions</li>
<li>Follows rules for equipment handling</li>
<li>Dusts and polishes furniture and equipment</li>
<li>Keeps storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy</li>
<li>Maintains all supplies and cleaning products out of residents&rsquo; reach using housekeeping carts, keeping the cart locked when not in use</li>
<li>Keeps hallways and corridors clear of carts and equipment when not in use</li>
<li>Provides support services to other areas of the building as needed</li>
<li>Attends in-service training classes as assigned</li>
<li>Assists in laundry</li>
<li>Any other assignments as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Administrator</li>

Job Summary:</b> Supervises staff of Housekeeping Laundry Attendants and Housekeeping Leads. Performs any combination of the day-to-day housekeeping and or laundry duties ensuring NEXCOM Hospitality Group NHG standards are met. Regularly performs the full range and scope of services.</p><p><b>
Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Supervises housekeeping personnel performing such functions as cleaning guest rooms and public spaces outdoor space and general cleaning of the property. Assures the most efficient and economical methods of cleaning and maintaining guest rooms are implemented. Ensures required cleaning materials and linen are available.</li><li>
Utilizes the Property Management System PMS for the preparation of the daily housekeeping report and to schedule housekeepers to ensure all program commitments are met.</li><li>
Coordinates with front desk and maintenance personnel to ensure rooms are clean and ready for occupancy. This includes preparing work requests to the maintenance department.</li><li>
Conducts daily inspections of rooms housekeeping carts common areas laundry facilities and maintains written documentation of these inspections.</li><li>
Conducts training on proper work methods and safety procedures. Fully implements all safety fire prevention SDS and environmental industrial hygiene requirements.</li><li>
The incumbent is responsible for the security of all items in the storeroom and or assigned storage areas. Determines and places orders for cleaning supplies in-room amenities and other materials or equipment needed by the housekeeping staff and ensures items are available when required.</li><li>
Ensures equipment is properly maintained stored and accounted for. Issues amenities supplies and linen to the housekeepers and performs a monthly quarterly inventory as required.</li><li>
Inspects rooms daily to ensure NHG standards are met and preventive maintenance repairs are completed. Originates work orders for needed repairs to guest rooms or public areas and reviews them with the Maintenance Department Housekeeping Manager or NHG General Manager GM</li><li>
Checks vacant rooms to verify condition and possible unauthorized occupancy. Also notifies front desk NHG GM of any discrepancies.</li><li>
Evaluates performance recommends awards and or corrective disciplinary actions. Ensures all leave requests are in writing and approves disapproves in a timely manner. Interview and recommend applicants for selection or promotion.</li><li>
Handles guest and or staff suggestions and complaints resolves problems in a tactful and diplomatic manner and refers difficult and or unusual situations to management.</li><li>
