<div><p>Our Laundry Worker performs laundry duties for Environmental Services in the cleaning of clothes and linens for residents, Health Care, and Arbor Acres.<b>

Hours: M-F 8A &ndash; 430P
</p><p><b>Job Relationships</b></p><ul><li>
Reports to and is supervised by the Laundry Supervisor and Director of Housekeeping and Laundry.</li></ul><p><b>
Laundry Worker: Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Ensures that linen is properly separated into different classifications.</li><li>
Uses proper personal protective equipment when caring for soiled laundry.</li><li>
Folds and processes clean linen and terry and separates</li></ul><p><b>
Typical Physical Demands</b></p><ul><li>
Ability to stand for long periods of time.</li><li>
Ability to lift approximately 30 lbs. of linen.</li><li>
Ability to walk extensively, to squat, bend, kneel, climb to reach 8 ft. ceilings, and reach above shoulders.</li><li>
Needs sense of sight, hearing, smell and touch.</li><li>
Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemical and tolerate the presence of dust.</li><li>
Must be able to successfully complete the WorkSTEPS Functional Testing program. This program assists in determining whether applicants/employees are able to safely perform essential job functions.

Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of a 24-hour facility.</li><li>
Work habits must include: regular attendance, punctuality, teamwork, willingness to learn, initiative, dependability, and promptness.</li><li>
Ability to communicate with residents, family members, and other staff.</li><li>
Ability to pay attention to detail and utilize equipment properly.</li><li>
Must be able to thoroughly read, write, speak, and understand the English language.</li><li>
Ability to embody and uphold the corporate personality and culture of Arbor Acres with its emphasis on warmth, caring, generation of community, enthusiasm, achievement of excellence, and joy.</li><li>

<ul><li>Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.</li><li>
Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.</li><li>
Maintain records of laundry activities and report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.</li><li>
Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.</li><li>
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.</li><li>
All other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li><li>
Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.</li><li>
Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.</li><li>
Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies</li><li>
Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.</li><li>
Must be able to work around cleaning products.</li><li>
Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.</li><li>
