Description</b></p><p>
HR Payroll Clerk will process and manage Community Counseling Solutions (CCS) payroll. Calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments. The goal is to ensure personnel receives the correct compensation in a timely manner.</p><p>
Will handle all payroll and HR related functions including monthly draws and payroll, occasional supplemental checks throughout the month. Will ensure compliance with Federal and State laws, prepare and file W-2&rsquo;s and 1095-C&rsquo;s. Administers human resource programs; compiles and maintains personnel records, assists HR Director and HR team as needed by performing the following duties.</p><p><b>
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><p>
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><p><b>
RESPONSIBILITIES</b> include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p><ul><li>Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions.</li><li>Calculates financial data</li><li>Participates in benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting and auditing invoices for payment. Compiles and maintains records for use in employee benefits administration.</li><li>Records employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, and termination date and reason into databases and software programs.</li><li>Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses.</li><li>Distributes information to co-workers and employees as needed and/or requested.</li><li>Maintain knowledge related to work activities.</li><li>Audit personnel/financial/benefit data for recording errors.</li><li>Assists audits by providing records and documentation to auditors</li><li>Check timesheets for accuracy.</li><li>Process paper checks for distribution and handle direct deposit requests and data related to those items.</li><li>Process information and confirm signatures for necessary payroll documents (Pay changes, raises, bonuses, etc.)</li><li>Have the ability to balance, prioritize and meet strict deadlines.</li><li>Process, track, and record wage garnishments.</li><li>Computes wages and records data for use in payroll processing.</li><li>Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices.</li><li>Train others in operational procedures as requested by HR Director.</li><li>Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.</li><li>Coordinate with co-workers required operational activities.</li><li>Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems and procedures.</li><li>Prepares and files reports of accidents and injuries at CCS</li></ul>

HR Payroll Clerk I - High school diploma required. Experience or education in accounting and/or finance with payroll experience preferred.</p><p>
HR Payroll Clerk II &ndash; High school diploma required. Experience or education in accounting and/or finance preferred with 1 - 3 years&rsquo; payroll experience OR a combination of education and experience.</p><p>
HR Payroll Clerk III &ndash; High school diploma required with 3-5 years of related experience, or 2 years&rsquo; experience with additional specialized training and/or certification OR a combination of education and experience. Payroll experience required.</p><p><b>

Must show proof of $300,000 or more liability coverage for bodily injury and $100,000 or more in property damage and maintain said level of coverage for the duration of employment at CCS.</p><p>
The employee&rsquo;s insurance is primary with CCS insurance being secondary. CCS reserves the right to deny any employee the use of a vehicle owned by CCS.</p><p><b>

</p><p><b>A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DEPUTY COURT CLERK</b></p>
<p>
As a Deputy Court Clerk, you spend your day responding to customers regarding legal options to satisfy cases, including fines, trials or hearings, driver's safety, deferred dispositions, warrants, extensions, and posting of bonds. Your work typically involves updating case files in the Court's case management system as contact is made with customers, judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, witnesses and others. Prepare and processes traffic and parking citations filed by the Edinburg Police Department and other agencies. Your job is essential to the city, you monitor cases for compliance, process cases in accordance with legal requirements, and prepare documentation for the judge and prosecutor. You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise in the city. This can include administrating oaths and prepares complaints, summons and subpoenas. When you aren't assisting others you're running reports, gathering files and information, taking payments, performing customer service related duties, and other duties as required. You enjoy being helpful and have no problem providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed. The city needs someone like you with skills in customer service, public relations, and you find genuine enjoyment in what you do!</p>

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A </b><b>DEPUTY COURT CLERK</b></p>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalency
</li><ul><li>Preferred: Community college, vocational business, technical or correspondence school certificates are likely sources</li>
</ul><li>Required Work Experience: Requires one (1) year experience of clerical experience</li>
<ul><li>Preferred: One (1) year of experience in court procedures or in a related field.
</li></ul></ul><ul><li>Bilingual English/Spanish preferred</li>
<li>Must be able to type 30 WPM</li>
</ul><ul><li>Must have a current and valid class &quot;C&quot; driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety</li>
