We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The HR Manager oversees the Human Resources responsibilities for the construction team and will be responsible for leading and managing HR programs, processes and projects as appropriate. Responsibilities

Qualifications

Job Summary
Responsible for managing day-to-day operational HR duties within a healthcare facility or business line. Performs as a trusted collaborator and advisor to senior level leadership and management in areas of change management, organization effectiveness, work environment, culture and leadership development. Possesses solid understanding of all HR functions and works with business clients and/or HR partners in areas such as employee relations, compensation, engagement and performance management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field required; Master&rsquo;s Degree preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Certified HR Professional (e.g. PHR, SPHR, or related) preferred
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:<ul><li>
Seven (7) years of progressive experience in human resources or healthcare management required.</li><li>
A minimum of five (5) years&rsquo; experience in HR business partnership or HR client management required.</li><li>
Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li><li>
Solid project management experience.</li></ul>
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES<ul><li>
Responsible for hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions and performance appraisals of direct report HR staff members.</li><li>
Proactively leads the delivery of HR Processes to facility or business line leadership, developing strategies and plans that enable the facility or business line to meet human capital needs and business targets.</li><li>
May lead complex HR Projects cross-functionally.</li><li>
Leads advising on first-level issues related to: retention, compensation, organizational development, employee relations. Manages the linkage between the facility/service to second-level (+) communication with HR Centers of Excellence.</li><li>
Provides assistance in policy interpretation and ensures organizational compliance to applicable policies, laws, and accreditation standards.</li><li>
Demonstrates ability to track/analyze/communicate and intervene on strategic workforce metrics to include: retention, turnover, time to fill, headcount, labor costs; Ensures facility/business leadership receives timely access to human capital metrics via HRIS systems.</li><li>
Leads and/or serves on facility/business interdisciplinary committees that drive strategies related to strategic workforce planning and/or employee engagement.</li><li>
Serves as member of client group management structure and shares HRMT updates as necessary. Shares responsibility for goals and target delivery.</li><li>
Develops interventions that stabilize business performance and employee engagement.</li><li>
Provides input/preparation for HR facility/entity budgets.</li><li>
Refines/Creates action plans to support HR strategies and drive results at the facility level.</li><li>
Participate in key leadership teams such as HR Management Team and facility Executive Leadership to ensure alignment with HR and organizational initiatives.</li><li>
Responsible for hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions and performance appraisals of direct report HR staff members</li><li>
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.</li><li>
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.</li><li>

? The Area HR Manager role has a national salary range of $85,000- $150,000.

The Area Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing and leading strategic and tactical HR activities within their area of responsibility. This position collaborates with their leadership team, operational leaders and several functional departments to ensure the human resources goals are being met across all sites and all sectors they support. The Area HR Manager assists the organization by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices across all sites and sectors supported. 
Strategic Activities

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy</li><li>
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of company personnel</li><li>
Develop strong, trusting relationships with business leaders across DSC North America to foster collaboration and on-going sharing of best practices and resources, in order to gain mutual business advantage</li><li>
Effectively interact with DSC North America HR and other functions and ensure that local issues are taken into account when developing strategies and initiatives</li><li>
Maintain a strong understanding of current affairs, particularly the political and social agenda within own country or region and identify what impact this may have with own business area across all sites and sectors supported Tactical Activities Employee Relation and Engagement</li><li>
Provide guidance and recommendations to business managers on matters that may impact people within the organization</li><li>
Serve as an advocate and counsel to hourly and exempt associates</li><li>
Develop and drive initiatives/activities in support of all site(s) climate and culture</li><li>
Manage and conduct internal investigations as needed Compliance</li><li>
Effectively implement HR policies that comply with statutory regulations and are consistent with internal and external best practices</li><li>
Ensure compliance with all required regulations, policies, and laws related to Human Resources activities Growth</li><li>
Ensure management is trained in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment</li><li>
Provide feedback and coaching to managers, actively listen and ask searching clarifying questions in regards to associates</li><li>
Manage staffing, succession planning and associate programs and processes</li><li>
Implement/manage training and development activities and monitor effectiveness</li><li>
Conduct trainings as necessary</li><li>
Provide start-up support Continuity</li><li>
Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits systems, processes, and employee communications Cyclical Activities</li><li>
Oversee the administration of and action planning activities related to the annual EOS process</li><li>
Oversee the administration of compliance with, and execution of our performance management systems</li></ul> 
Required Education and Experience 
Bachelor Degree or equivalent 4 years work experience, required
PHR/SPHR SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification, preferred
7+ years of experience in HR with exposure to all major functional areas of HR
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
Previous experience partnering with senior management, required
Knowledge of HR Metrics, preferred
Knowledge of HR systems and databases, preferred
Knowledge of labor law and HR best practices, preferred
Experience leading deployment of organizational change, preferred
Experience with conflict resolution, preferred
Experience with investigations, preferred
