ARE YOU THE HR REPRESENTATIVE WE'RE LOOKING FOR?</b></h3><p>
To thrive as a Human Resource Representative at VAL-CO, you'll need a combination of education, experience, and skills tailored for success in a dynamic environment. A Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field or comparable experience is essential, along with at least two years of demonstrated performance in various HR functions, including administration and staffing. Proficiency in HRIS and time and attendance software is crucial, as is a strong understanding of state and federal laws, notably Workers Compensation and Unemployment regulations. You should possess excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, and the ability to travel occasionally to serve multiple plant locations. Strong customer service acumen, high accuracy, and exceptional written and oral communication skills are vital for effective engagement with employees and management alike.</p><p>
A self-starter mindset, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, will help you embody VAL-CO's core values in every interaction.</p><p>
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:</p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in related field or comparable experience</li><li>
Two years or greater of demonstrated performance in the execution of human resources functional services including human resource administration, staffing, policy and performance management administration, and consulting abilities to managers and employees</li><li>
PHR-HRCI or SHRM-CP highly desirable</li><li>
Demonstrated HRIS and/or time and attendance software skill and work experience</li><li>
Demonstrated working knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations including Workers Compensation and Unemployment</li><li>
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office</li><li>
Ability to occasionally travel to serve multiple plant locations (in Lancaster County).</li><li>

As our <b>HR Representative</b>, you will:</div><ul><li>
Provide confidential administrative support to the Human Resources Department.</li><li>
Enter data into HR and payroll systems accurately, consistently, and timely.</li><li>
Maintain working knowledge of health insurance and leave benefits.</li><li>
Follow through with employees for benefit enrollment eligibility, dependent verification, and leave administration.</li><li>
Prepare open job requisitions, post openings, and monitor applicant responses in ATS.</li><li>
Prepare orientation materials for new employees.</li><li>
Coordinate acknowledgement efforts for employee birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, and bereavement.</li><li>
Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.)</li><li>
Maintain monthly HR reporting.</li><li>
Maintain employee files.</li><li>
Maintain a professional presence and demeanor with ability to exercise good judgement and discretion.</li><li>

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications (Required):</b></div><ul><li>
High school diploma or GED.</li><li>
2 years&rsquo; experience assisting within a human resource department.</li><li>
Must be able to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, and write).</li><li>
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.</li><li>
Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced, changing priorities, and ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>
Must be able to work well independently and in a team-oriented environment.</li><li>
Must be a proactive self-starter with strong quality control focus and ability to meet deadlines.</li></ul><div><b>
Preferred Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
Associate Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.</li><li>
Experience processing payroll.</li><li>
Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish (speak, read, and write).</li><li>
Previous experience using UKG, iCIMS, or Kronos timekeeping.</li><li>
HR experience in a manufacturing environment.</li></ul><div><b>
