Duties also include performing routine and complex preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment. The employee will be responsible for removing, calibrating, overhauling, and replacing associated instruments and controls in the air conditioning, ventilating and heating systems pumps, chemical feeders, valves, traps, boilers, burners, monitors and other safety devices. This employee will also install, maintain and repair refrigeration equipment which includes refrigerators, freezers, and drinking fountains.</p><p><b>
Please note at this time we will </b><b><i>not </i></b><b>be underfilling at the grade 11, HVAC Apprentice level. </b><b>All applicants must possess a full, Maryland issued Journeyman License.
</b></p><p>This position is considered <b>Essential</b>, and employees are required to respond or may be placed on stand-by duty during severe weather or other urgent conditions. Employee must have the ability to work standby shifts and respond to after-hours emergency service calls. Essential Responsibilities:</b></p><p>
The designee shall be qualified to maintain, modify, and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC) systems, and associated equipment. Performs scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components, and adjusts systems to maintain proper voltage, refrigerant levels, current, frequency, and synchronization. Identifies, repairs, and records malfunctions by removing, repairing, and or replacing defective components. The designee shall maintain systems such as, but not limited to Cummins generator series' DGDK, DSGAB, DGBB, C15D6, C35D6 125D6D, MEPP series 1050, 1070A, PP- 3106A and utilize Cummins Inpower software for diagnostics. This designee shall be qualified to work from blueprints, drawings, and operating a variety of electrician&rsquo;s hand tools and testing instruments. Support various generator/HVAC systems identified in Table 4.5.1 &ndash; C2 Systems and Associated Support Equipment; Table 4.5.2 ATCALS Systems and Associated Support Equipment; Table 4.5.3 ATC Weather Systems and Associated Support equipment; Table 4.5.4 C2 Air Control Squadron O&amp;M Support, Table 4.5.5 Regional Maintenance Center O&amp;M and Support Equipment.
